The new incentives and development around US policy for Hydrogen will be an interesting topic this year.

It was recently announced that MAN Cryo has been contracted by Torghatten Nord, the Norwegian ferry firm, to design hydrogen supply systems for the company’s two new-build hydrogen-powered ferries. The Norwegian ships are 117 meters in length and they have the capacity to carry one hundred and twenty cars, plus five hundred and ninety-nine passengers. The ships will also be installed with 6.4MW of hydrogen fuel cells, which will be used to power operations, whilst the ships are operating on the outer Vestjorden in Lofoten. We were interviewed for the REVIVE project video about its’ groundbreaking European project on #hydrogenrefuse #trucks. The trucks ensure a silent #zeroemission waste collection, which means better #airquality for waste collectors and citizens. They have already collected more than 5,500 tonnes of waste and driven over 18,000 kms, which equals a 31 tonnes #CO2reduction! 💧 🔧 The two Antwerp hydrogen trucks were retrofitted by us with European, Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH #fuelcells and are part of the groundbreaking European REVIVE_EU project, subsidized by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership. Nine more of these trucks run or will run in #Breda, #Veldhoven, #Arnhem, #Groningen, #Noordenveld and #Gotenborg, collecting the necessary data in order to roll out the technology. A new and innovative compact compressor system will be incorporated into H2 MOBILITY’s Düsseldorf-Hoerwig hydrogen refuelling station. This decision has been made with the aim of making this site Europe’s ‘most powerful’. Construction for turning this concept into reality began in March and so far the company now has plans to offer two tonnes of hydrogen on a daily basis.
