🤖 Introducing Dr Bot and Dex! 🤖 Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (MKUH) the two #Versius surgical robots have now been named – thanks to the children of Milton Keynes. The surgery teams at MKUH asked children from local schools to come up with ideas for names, with surgeons Barrie Keeler and Richard O’Hara announcing the winners from a shortlist of entries at a special naming ceremony held at the end of October. The children whose names were selected were invited to the Trust's theatres to try their surgical skills out on #Versius (without patients, of course!) At MKUH, the two #Versius systems – now called Dr Bot and Dex – are routinely used across colorectal, gynaecology, general surgery and urology cases with the Trust recently surpassing 800 surgical procedures performed with #Versius. A big thank you to MKUH for including us in the naming ceremony, and for all the children who helped to name Dr Bot and Dex! Read more about the use of #Versius at MKUH here: https://lnkd.in/eUCcRVAe
