Updated Post: Exploring the Many Uses of Molecular Sieves in Different Industries

Dear All, Pleased to share our recent work on Cu single atom catalysts (Cu-C3N4) for the oxidative dehydrogenation of N-heterocycles published in Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2024. The as-synthesized and well-characterized Cu@mpg-C3N4 single-atom photocatalyst is then evaluated for its efficacy in converting N-heterocycles into corresponding N-heteroaromatic compounds with excellent conversion and selectivity (>99 %). This transformation is achieved using water as a green solvent and a 30 W white light as a visible light source, demonstrating the catalyst's potential for sustainable and environmentally benign reactions. In our latest paper, we show how cations (K+, Cs+) increase the selectivity of Co phthalocyanine (CoPc) in a bipolar membrane electrolyzer Online now in Philosophical Transactions A https://lnkd.in/eRbg4YDj UKRI CircularChem Alexander Cowan Eileen Yu Mohammad Danish Khan Surprisingly, cations only led to a small increase in *CO2 binding, which was one of the proposed mechanisms of selectivity enhancement. Instead, the enhancement is due to suppression of H+ transport, observed as higher local pH. We (Leiting Zhang, Chao Zhang, and Erik J. Berg) have shared our reflections on proton activities in next-generation aqueous batteries in a recent #OpenAcess Perspective paper published in Advanced Materials. We call for a fundamental understanding of the nature of proton activities, their impacts on the main and side reactions in aqueous batteries, and how we can better understand, control, and utilize these properties to design next-generation high-performance and sustainable aqueous batteries.
