One of the most common questions I get at Fluent is, "how do you plan to stand out with so many AI Scribe apps out there?" I always give the same answer: by generating the most accurate, concise, and relevant note possible. The kind of note that a physician finds easy to review, helps them quickly get up to speed, and completely takes charting off their plate. It's great to see so many front-line physicians feel the same way. We're just getting started!
Huge milestone for Fluent this week! We took part in the Ontario Medical Association District 7 AI Scribe challenge (6 AI scribes, and 1 Human Scribe generatd notes for the same complex, simulated visit). We're honored that Fluent's Note was voted the best overall by the ~100 MDs in attendance. Thanks to Dr. Darren Larsen, Dr. Chandi Chandrasena MD CCFP FCFP, and Dr. Brian Hart for the very interesting talks on the role of AI in reducing Physician burnout, and on how to evaluate the many AI apps out there. And a special thank you to Dr. Dr. Joy Hataley, Manon M. Leduc, and Dr. Veronica Legnini for hosting and organizing the evening.

🌟 First Acceptance !! 🌟 I am thrilled to announce that my first paper, Evaluating the Diagnostic Performance of Symptom Checkers: Clinical Vignette Study (https://lnkd.in/dtxEEyts), has been accepted! 🎉 My journey as the tech lead of Avey's state-of-the-art diagnostic engine, spanning almost 5 years, has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. Our tool is now comparable to human doctors in terms of accuracy and reliability. In the current paper, we conducted extensive validation studies demonstrating Avey's capability to diagnose a wide range of conditions with remarkable precision. By leveraging advanced artificial intelligence algorithms and vast amounts of medical data, Avey offers real-time diagnostic insights that can significantly enhance patient care. Our work shows that Avey not only matches but often exceeds traditional diagnostic methods in speed and accuracy. This milestone marks just the beginning. I am optimistic about the many future papers and innovations that will stem from this groundbreaking work. We aim to continuously improve Avey's capabilities and broaden its application to various medical fields, ultimately aiming to transform healthcare delivery.
