Quality vs Innovation - Can You Have Both, or Is It One or the Other? While we're sending rockets to space and advancing in mimicking how the human brain works, I often wonder where the balance lies between pursuing innovation and getting the foundation right. Everywhere I hear about the competitive market, which is especially true during crises. Companies have to fight for their clients, which is understandable when demand is down, but I wish quality was considered equally important when the market is growing. Innovation requires speed, and rushing affects quality. Aside from tech giants with unlimited budgets: Do you think it's possible to build software right (and maintain good quality) while still getting to market first? #softwaredevelopment #business #innovation #technology #startups

Transition in the c-suite, in particular from Founder-led to next stage CEO, can be one of the most important decisions a #startup can make for the health of the business. With that said, it’s a challenge. At DeviceTalks Boston, I spoke with experts Paul Grand, CEO MedTech Innovator, Marissa Fayer, CEO DeepLook Medical, and Tal Wenderow, Venture Partner at Genesis Medtech Group. Having the conversation, early and often, about what criteria is necessary to meet milestones, and how we can bring in these skillsets, is step one. Ensuring board alignment on vision of success. Is the founder the issue, or is it realistic expectations? Playing to strengths of the founder, whether technology leader, brand ambassador, or clinical development, can be a powerful move in preserving the value while complimenting her/his background with a CEO. Friction is normal, and necessary, when growth occurs. Progress starts with clear and honest communication and focus on the goal, the product or service in the hands of those that can benefit and success of the business. #startups #medtech #healthtech #entrepreneur #innovation #ceo The Mullings Group #ceoinsights
