It came with an impressive salary, a fancy job title, and the promise of creative freedom. Sounds like a dream, right? But here’s the catch, it wasn’t. As I dug deeper into the role, I realized it wasn’t just a digital marketing job. It was a “do-it-all” job. From marketing campaigns to operations, event management, logistics, and even store visits, the role came with an ever-expanding list of responsibilities. Why I Walked Away: 🗣️ Misaligned Expectations: I’m a digital marketing professional, not a jack-of-all-trades. Stretching across functions would dilute my focus and expertise, leaving little room for creativity or impact. 🗣️ Burnout Waiting to Happen: Let’s be honest—trying to juggle operations, events, and marketing is a recipe for burnout. I’ve learned from experience that passion thrives when the workload is balanced and meaningful. 🗣️ Lack of Role Clarity: A high-paying job with vague expectations is a red flag. 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐔𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞: 𝐌𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐭 Before 2017, I had no clear direction for my career. Everything changed when I moved to Mumbai for my graduation. In 2018, I discovered 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 and that was the turning point. Choosing marketing as my specialization, I began teaching myself everything I could about digital marketing. That decision transformed my life. 🌱 From that moment on, I couldn’t stop dreaming about digital marketing. Every day, I thought, "When will this graduation be over so I can dive deep into the world of digital marketing and start gaining real experience?" I took my Sem 6 exam in 2020, but I don’t have proof of passing and haven’t returned to Mumbai in the past four years to check my results. As a result, I am technically a 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐭. I started working as a salesperson for a Mumbai-based real estate company, then pursued a diploma in digital marketing. I worked for a Gurugram-based real estate group as a digital marketer, and my first full-time job was at 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 as a Digital Marketing Executive. Soon after, I joined 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐩𝐞 as a Digital Marketing Executive, where I was promoted to Manager within three years. In less than four years, I became the 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠. From feeling lost to discovering my passion, it’s been a journey full of challenges, growth, and self-discovery. Every step was driven by the thought, What’s next in digital marketing? I may be a dropout, but my journey has taught me more than any degree ever could. Scope of tasks: - Develop a strategy for the SaaS for Logistic (Amazon Relay) niche Digitization: #MIRO-as a mind map (to understand #CJM and engagement channels) and Excell to do the math with metrics for customer acquisition cost level (#CAC), reach (#MAU/ #DAU) and return on investment (#ROMI). The budget is already rolled out and has clear KPIs. A website will also be provided: we will need to see how we will collect leads on it, where the CTA is not right, etc - develop a content plan. Digitization: in MIRO or any easy to share Soft What is needed: engagement channels only, what is the frequency and what is the expected result in the form of metrics.
