Day 16💡 The last but not the least, the IMPROVEMENTS stage of product development life cycle. The product development life cycle doesn't end when a product is launched. In fact, that's when the improvements stage begins. This phase, also known as the refinement stage, is crucial for ensuring that a product stays relevant, competitive, and meets the evolving needs of customers. During this stage, companies focus on making the product better based on real-world use. They gather user feedback, analyze usage data, and identify areas for improvement. This can include fixing bugs, adding new features, or revamping the user interface. By constantly iterating and improving, companies can ensure that their product remains a top choice for customers. So don't be afraid to embrace the improvements stage and keep making your product better. #ProductManagement #20DaysinPMWithAA #GIT20DayChallenge #AfricaAgility #GITBootcampCohort #AfricanGirlsInTechBootcamp #GITBootcampC7Challenge

🚀 Breaking the Cargo Cult Cycle in Software Development In software development, it’s easy to fall into the trap of Cargo Cult thinking—blindly following popular trends, tools, or processes without truly understanding why they’re used or whether they’re the right fit for your project. While this approach may feel safe, it can stifle creativity and limit your potential for true innovation. 🔍 How to Break Free from Cargo Cult Practices: 1️⃣ Ask “Why?” - Understand the purpose behind every tool, process, or methodology you adopt. 2️⃣ Experiment and Adapt - Be open to testing new ideas and tailoring them to your team’s specific needs. 3️⃣ Promote a Learning Culture - Encourage your team to continuously learn and think critically about their decisions. Building solutions tailored to your unique challenges—rather than copying industry norms—will not only boost efficiency but also foster long-term growth and innovation. 💡 It’s time to move beyond imitation and start leading with intention. #technomers #criticalthinking #InnovationTech #Softwaredevelopment #Devtips #TechLeadership

💡 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐭 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭, 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐖𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐭 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭! At our company, this is how it really goes: ⭐ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦: Clients want things 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵, but we want to do things 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵. 🤯 ⭐ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡: Here’s the struggle: 🌀 Clients often say, “We need this now!” but change their minds the next day. It drives us a bit crazy. 😬 We always try to do a good job, even when time is super tight. 💼 And let’s not forget the person handling client communication, whether it’s a senior developer, owner, or sales team member, they bear the biggest headache trying to manage expectations! 🌙 Yes, sometimes it means working late into the night! ⭐ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭: We keep the client happy, the code solid, and ourselves just a little bit stressed (but proud!). #ClientSuccess #CodeQuality #DevLife #TeamWork

🚨 The Dangers of Cargo Cult Thinking in Software Development🚨 In software development, ‘Cargo Cult’ thinking refers to the habit of blindly following trends, practices, or strategies without truly understanding why they work or if they’re suited to your specific context. 🧠 While it’s tempting to mimic successful companies or popular methods, this approach can lead to inefficiencies, wasted resources, and missed opportunities. Rather than just replicating what others do, it's important to focus on understanding the "why" behind each practice, technology, or tool you use. Whether it’s Agile, a new framework, or a trending tool, ask yourself: - Does it align with my project goals? - Is it the right fit for my team? - What problem does it actually solve? By developing a deep understanding of your strategies, you'll be able to make smarter decisions, improve efficiency, and innovate more effectively. 🚀 #SoftwareDevelopment #TechTrends #CriticalThinking #Innovation #Agile #DevelopmentCulture #technomers

Just last week I've finished up working with amazing teams at air up®, and I'm quite proud of what we achieved there 🚀. Teams embraced elite delivery practices, constantly working to cut down iteration time and automating wherever possible. I'm leaving knowing the company has the tools and mindset to keep delivering great results! Here are some of the highlights: - Deploying over 20 services continuously, straight from commit to production averaging 15 minutes lead time. - Fast delivery cycles with entire codebase in mono-repository and teams flowing trunk-based development. - Shift-left engineering of tooling and testing (e.g. generated GitHub pipelines, ability to run and entire stack with E2E test locally). - Deployable living documentation that evolves with code and tests. If this sounds interesting then watch this space for more as I'll delve into each in detail soon. And if you have exciting projects or teams looking to boost software delivery let's have a chat! 🙂👋

Truth. And, the lead was likely refining requirements, keeping the design/architecture at the center, making sure IT is helping and not getting in the way, and a million other tasks that accelerate the team's delivery. Measure velocity of the whole team and celebrate their improvements. One of the fastest ways to create a toxic culture is by pitting team members against each other by comparing their number of commits, lines of code, story points, or other nebulous measurements of productivity.
Great tech leads can go entire sprints without committing a line a code. The reason? They put the team first. They were involved in every other pull request that got merged in. Solve your team's problems before your own.

Dev-client relationship resembles the art of dancing: each role has to make the respective steps to create a true masterpiece at the end, which both parties are satisfied with. That is why our Delivery Lead Gabriela entitled her #ЕncodeЕxcellence presentation "Dev-Client Dance: From Initiation for Delivery". She outlined the phases in the #Agile Software Delivery Lifecycle at Amdaris and inquired about our developers' role in every stage of the project. This prompted a significant conversation emphasising the importance of our teammates engaging with clients from project initiation. This involvement allows engineers to fully understand the product roadmap, collaborate with clients to achieve shared objectives, and, most importantly, establish strong relationships with them. We highlighted the importance of developers serving as advisors to clients and discussed the effective methods for conducting software reviews and demos. It's worth noting that a rockstar software engineer isn't just a coding genius; they also possess essential soft skills which, when mastered, work their magic in convincing clients to trust them as reliable partners. #softwaredevelopment #softwareengineering #AmdarisBulgaria #deliverylead #softwaredelivery
