In this week’s #Mozambique Weekly Media Review, Renamo leader Ossufo Momade landed in Maputo, after missing the first week of election campaigns – during which former president, Armando Guebuza, actively participated in Frelimo’s election campaigning. While insurgent activity from the past week upholds the narrative of the insurgency being on the defensive, one isolated incident has drawn attention to potential weaknesses in the Rwandan defences. And, while local political analysts criticise the government for only seeking to please powerful international institutions, the reality is that Mozambique’s domestic political landscape leaves little in the way of political leverage for more balanced relations. UPCOMING LOBBYING REGULATION IN CROATIA 🇭🇷📝 📣A round table for the professional and academic public "Transparency of lobbying in public decision-making" was held today in Zagreb. 🏛️Our CEO and President of the Croatian Lobbyists Association Ivan Zuzul participated in the second panel, which discussed the potential effects of increasing transparency through legislation, i.e. to what extent it is possible to influence the removal of the stigma of lobbying as a negative or unfair activity through quality legislation in this area and stressed that all interested parties, including lobbyist, policymakers, and the public, must cooperate to strengthen transparency and accountability in the lobbying process. 💡The discussion was interesting and open, in which different experiences and proposals were exchanged on how to make the upcoming lobbying regulation even better. #governmentrelations #publicaffairs
