We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again - don’t make these fundraising mistakes! . These are things that would make donors NOT want to contribute to your fundraiser. . Number 1: Sending a super vague message requesting a donation. We get it; you don’t have a ton of time, and maybe you don’t know what to say, but at least include more context than the link to your event. A really great message should include a greeting, what you’re fundraising for, and how you’re planning to use the funds, in addition to the your event link. . Number 2: Being unclear about who’s organizing the event. Without a clear understanding of who is organizing the fundraiser, donors may worry that the funds won’t be used as promised, or worse, that the campaign is a scam.
