#HappyDussehra: Three Key Lessons from Ramayana for #startups On this auspicious day of Vijay Dashmi, we celebrate the triumph of good over evil. Beyond the festivities, the #Ramayana offers us #timelesswisdom, even from Ravan. In his dying moments, when Lord Ram asked Lakshman to seek life lessons from the fallen king, Ravan shared three profound insights that resonate deeply for all of us, especially in the startup world. Here are the three lessons : 1. Do #GoodDeeds #WithoutDelay: Ravan admitted that one of his greatest mistakes was postponing good actions. He had many chances to avoid war but he delayed, believing he had unlimited time. Lesson: In the fast-paced world of startups, procrastination can be dangerous. Whether it’s making decisions, acting on opportunities, or addressing issues, don’t wait. Seize the moment and do what’s right before it’s too late. 2. Keep Your #VulnerabilitiesHidden: Ravan regretted revealing too much about his strengths and weaknesses, to his brother Vibhishan which gave Lord Ram and his army strategic insights into how to defeat him. Lesson: In business, it’s crucial to safeguard your vulnerabilities. Don’t share sensitive information that could be used against you. Keep your strategies, weaknesses, and intellectual property protected to maintain your competitive edge. 3. #NeverUnderestimate Anyone: Ravan’s downfall stemmed from his belief that no human could defeat him. He had asked for protection from gods and demons and all others , but underestimated the potential of humans, which ultimately led to his defeat. Lesson: In the startup ecosystem, never underestimate your competition, no matter how small or inexperienced they may seem. Innovation can come from anywhere. Always respect the capabilities of others and stay ahead by continuously improving. As we celebrate Vijay Dashmi, let’s reflect on these amongst other lessons from Ramayana and apply them in our personal and entrepreneurial journeys. Wishing you all a victorious and insightful Vijay Dashmi! Sarcha Advisors #VijayDashmi #StartupWisdom #LeadershipLessons #Ramayana

I have seen many Indian startup ecosystem associated people with good followership on LinkedIn, constantly bashing Shark Tank India claiming it to be pure drama / reality show / only good for marketing and not for real startups and all kinds of negative sentiments, which seems too drastic a view while the show seems to have matured in its 3rd season now. Shark Tank India must have done more in creating awareness and educating a common man in India about startups ecosystem as a concept and to inspire tens of thousands to take up entrepreneurship in a country that generally lacks awareness at mass level, in the last three years, by pushing towards a good change. What India needs is a mass transformation and not elite transformations, and shows like these definitely help set that tone. Ofcourse nothing is perfect anywhere but just criticism without acknowledging the positives, just shows a biased narrow mindset, without realizing the larger purpose being served. #startups #entrepreneur #mindset #india #culture #psychology #entrepreneurship

It's an exciting time to be a founder in India! I'm building my 2nd startup now and I can notice the difference in enthusiasm and reception when I tell people that I am building something. Earlier: Starting up used to be met with frowns and distance. The fear that founders would ask for favours and introductions was real. Now: The scenario has changed for good! Conversations are filled with enthusiasm, and people are volunteering to help and making the right introductions. It's heartening to see such a positive change. What has changed in India? There are multiple factors - mega IPOs, Shark Tank, Startup India, and so on. The ecosystem is thriving, and the support is overwhelming. Looking forward to building something impactful. #Entrepreneurship #StartupIndia #SharkTank #SecondStartup #IndiaRising
