Cheeky Waffles is known for its porn-inspired menu items – penis and vulva-shaped waffles with names like ‘Playboy’, ‘OnlyFans and ‘WAP’ (a reference to Cardi B’s porn-themed song ‘Wet Ass P*ssy’). The company’s pornified social media includes images of penis-shaped waffles dripping with white chocolate sauce from their tips (mimicking male ejaculation) and degrading photos of women simulating oral sex on them. It has been nominated for multiple Adult Industry Choice awards (awards for sex industry companies) and featured at sex industry trade show Sexpo, inviting social media users to “c*m … get your happy ending in your mouth or tits”. Lovehoney wants to challenge attitudes toward sex toy advertising – one cucumber at a time 😲 I'll explain 👇 The sex toy brand has frequently had to get creative with its ad strategy due to limitations on what products it can show and when. It's no stranger to an ASA complaint or an outright ban. To get around this, Lovehoney is now using everyday items like cucumbers and toothbrushes as makeshift toys on billboards that it says are 'unbannable'. It's pretty tongue-in-cheek and attention-grabbing but there's a bigger message that the brand wants to get across: normalising the conversation around sexual wellness. What do you think about Lovehoney's latest campaign? Link to the story in the comments. #Lovehoney #OOH #Advertising

Sex, fear, laughter sell...or not? ;) Everyone knows that these aspects are the main engines of a quick sale. But is it true? I saw a study that showed that among men, the formula (Sex + Brand Name) in commercials does not work! Especially if a goal of an advertising campaign is to increase brand awareness or persuade you to make a quick purchase. Insights: - yes, sex in videos is still remembered in general more - but the BRAND itself is not remembered! It turned out that the brand's memorability was higher where the videos were WITHOUT sexual overtones. Men just got distracted from the main task to buy! So, let's think further, dear colleagues/entrepreneurs!:) https://lnkd.in/e7HaEP4q #brandmanagement #brand #advertising #sales #research

From strippers to escorts, social media has widened the audience for sex workers, including among heterosexual women who, while they may not regularly seek out sex workers, do regularly seek beauty content. On TikTok, where there are tens of millions of beauty posts and billions of views of them, sex workers' entrance into the beauty discourse, where they divulge their favorite products and the beauty tricks of their trade, gives them an outlet for mainstream exposure that has largely been closed to them due to legal limitations on sex work and the persistent stigma surrounding it. Brands, however, largely find it too risky to collaborate with sex workers. That makes them a bastion for authentic information. Tiffany Chan, a sexologist, artist and model on OnlyFans who has almost 494,000 followers and 6.6 million likes on TikTok, says, “They often don't have a problem being brutally honest when a product does or does not work.” Read more: https://bit.ly/3W66yzW #hereforthefierce #beautyentrepreneur #wellnessentrepreneur #beautybusiness #beautynews
