RICS Governing Council 2024 Elections - Deadline for casting your vote is 1 October 2024 at 12.00 noon BST. Two quick observations: 1. Unique Voting Code I have had members tell me this week that they have only just received their unique code in the post. Have you received your RICS unique voter code? Please immediately contact RICS if you have not received your unique voting code. 2. Personally knowing the candidates I met members this week who said that they were not going to vote because they didn't personally know any of the candidates. If you don't personally know any of the candidates please still vote. Every vote counts, if no one votes then results can become skewed and less proactive candidates get voted in, which doesn't help RICS and our members in the long run. Don't leave it to others to vote. You owe it to yourself - Please take the time to vote!

We assume that “majority rules” in our elections. But this new report from FairVote details 70 candidates who won statewide and congressional primaries in 2024 with less than 50% of the vote — and what non-majority wins like these mean for the American people. 🗽 Americans want politicians to deliver for the majority of people they represent. 🗽 Candidates who need a majority to win become elected officials who lead, legislate, and govern in our shared interest. 🗽 We all deserve better than “fewest votes wins.” #RankedChoiceVoting would solve this problem, ensuring that candidates win with a majority of the vote – and help unite parties behind their strongest candidate ahead of the general election.

"In Oklahoma, more elections are decided between April 1 and the end of June than ever make it to November. Besides regular school and municipal elections, April of even-numbered years brings filing for state and federal offices. A large share of those races — 50 of 133 this year — end without ever really starting, won by unopposed candidates. Of the rest, many go no further than the June party primaries. Thirty-four seats, including the 3rd Congressional District, will be decided by primaries this year because the only candidates are from the same party." Read the article at https://lnkd.in/gty46shW

Did you know that 30% of Utah's voters are not affiliated with any political party, making them the second-largest voting group in the state? Yet, they can't vote in partisan primary elections due to closed primaries. With 81% of general election winners decided in the primaries, it's time to consider open primaries for a more inclusive democracy! #UtahElections #OpenPrimaries #UnaffiliatedVoters #utpol Learn More Here: https://lnkd.in/g3teujQZ

I was seeing some Democrats comment on another post about the SAVE Act getting shut down, claiming it was a Republican sham, because illegals aren't voting. You have to be an American citizen to vote. They said it's already illegal to vote if you're not an American citizen. What a joke, that's like saying criminals won't use guns, because it's illegal. We KNOW this is what they're doing, this IS the primary fraud tactic for 2024. They have at least 11 million new voters now, spread out exactly where they need them. The fix is in. There is a great deal of open discussion about this, how illegals are getting paid to come here, responding to advertisements publicly posted throughout Mexico. Cartels are raking in billions. The influx of illegals is skewing the electoral college because the census does not take citizenship into account. But beyond that, many illegals are given SSNs, they are getting registered to vote, they are sent to targeted locations to satisfy voting demographics, and they are being formally instructed to vote if they want their benefits to continue. Folks are talking about how Democrats are in panic mode about Biden's obvious senility, but that's just a distraction. The tidal wave of fraud they are going to unleash in 2024 will be unprecedented, and it will take a miracle for Trump to win, even against a drooling invalid.

NAILED IT!! THIS man just said what TRUE Americans believe! TOM EMMER: “Democrats have to twist themselves into a pretzel to explain why they’re advocating for letting illegal immigrants vote in our elections. Let us be clear: only American citizens should have a say in American elections.” REPOST if you agree!! #thinblueline #lawenforcement

If you are in the 18-29 age group, this is your election emoji:snoo_feelsgoodman: Discussion emoji:snoo_thoughtful: In only three elections since 1980 has the 18-29 year-old age group reached 50%: 1992, 2008, and 2020. All three elections were substantial wins in the electoral college for the democrat. Vote, and get your friends to vote.
