PA post from Mom! 34 years ago today you were born and I was told of this diagnosis called Down syndrome, which back then, I knew nothing about. Following that the head nurse visited me, sat in the edge of my bed and said there is no shame in wanting to give my baby with DS up for adoption. Well I TRULY hope those days are OVER. My life has been BLESSED and full of LOVE. I have become the best version of myself because of you Collette and everyday I feel so lucky God trusted me with you. Thank you for this amazing journey in life and the gratefulness I feel everyday. That is all because of you Collette. Happy birthday darling❤️.
I was also asked if I wanted to give Tucker up for adoption. Needless to say, that person never came back in my room. The world would be less sweet without you and your yummy cookies and the two of you are an incredible team.

I know this is a positive post, which I very much appreciate, but what an ignorant sentiment from that hospital. Life is precious. It is a gift. Every single light.
