Here are the key highlights from the recent report: 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐔𝐌 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞 The AUM of passive mutual funds skyrocketed to ₹10.2 lakh crore, capturing 17% of the total market share. This growth reflects the increasing popularity of passive investment strategies. 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 Among the asset classes, equities lead the way, accounting for 88% of net inflows into passive schemes. Investors are increasingly recognizing the benefits of index-tracking funds. 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐯𝐬. 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 Active funds' AUM stood at ₹50.9 lakh crore, emphasizing the coexistence of both active and passive investment approaches. 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 In the June quarter of FY2024-25, active equity funds attracted net inflows of ₹280K crore, while passive equity funds received ₹45K crore.
