The NUMBERS in the room, or the number of quality CONVERSATIONS you have in the room? 🤝 I’ve been to small networking events with just a handful of attendees and had the most meaningful, personalised conversations. 🤯 I’ve also been to events with 50+ people and left feeling overwhelmed and disconnected. 🎯 For me, it’s all about intention. One main point of discussion at Coffee Club yesterday (other than talking about Lounge by the Sea 2024 that took place last week) was how often "should" you meet with a client? 💡TOP TIP💡 Don't be afraid to ask for a meeting if you need it (e.g. you are not getting answers to questions). Frequency of regular scheduled meetings is a decision to be made on a client-by-client basis. For some clients weekly will work best, others may answer all your questions quickly via email or WhatsApp and therefore the need for meetings is reduced. Trust yourself that you know what may work best. You can always change it as you go. One of the key benefits of being part of a VA tribe is what you learn from each other. For instance, yesterday we learned: 👉 Sometimes a very high percentage of clients can come via one source you built a relationship with as a result of networking 👉 When someone asks if we know an expert in x,y,z and we don't, we'll often have people we can point you to who may know! 👉 We are all human. We all give ourselves a hard time if we mess up, but we all mess up from time to time. The fact that we care about it is what matters.
