If you ever doubted the Angus breeds dominance in the Australian beef industry, have a look at this chart. It shows the number of progeny (calves) registered as stud cattle by the top 10 sires (bulls) of each breed. Note: the majority of these calves would have been conceived using artificial insemination. The top two angus sires, Millah Murrah Paratrooper and Landfall New Ground have more calves registered to them than the sum of all the other breed sires combined. Pretty incredible. Note: It is worth pointing out that the hereford and wagyu breeds are not included in the chart.

Vestland County has granted Bue Salmon a license for the production of 50,000 tons of salmon at Lutelandet in Fjaler Municipality. Read more: https://bit.ly/4ijmdWa “50,000 tons is a very large volume. However, the most important thing for us is to scale up safely while ensuring that neither space nor licensing becomes a limitation. We have already started a pilot project in Bulandet producing around 1,000 tons annually. It has been operational for nearly three years with great results. This shows that we are ready to take the next steps” says CEO Knut Eikeland
