What a whirlwind. OMB Memorandum M-25-13, which had the potential to create serious challenges for nonprofits across the country, was rescinded today by M-25-14 - with two sentences. Serving on several nonprofit boards and advisory board committees, I saw the concern and disruption M-25-13 caused. Whether the havoc was intentional or not, there’s no debating it diverted time and energy away from nonprofit agencies and their boards. Buckle up folks. The road may get very bumpy. Nonprofit across America, and the people they serve across the world, will need strong voices and engaged partners to navigate challenges ahead. 💡 My advice? Stay engaged. Get involved. Volunteer. Serve. Join a nonprofit board or advisory committee. Spread the word and be willing to write letters, emails, or make phone calls to your representatives. Reach out to the nonprofits you already support and ask how best to partner with them to ensure the best outcomes for all. #Nonprofits #Advocacy #GetInvolved #Volunteer #PublicPolicy #Serve #StayEngaged
