SKAKO DARTEK Flip-Flop screens are a highly effective solution for the screening of sticky, wet or light-density materials which can clog on traditional screens. Widely used in the recycling and waste industry, our Flip-Flop screens are designed with dynamic polyurethane elastic mats, which are contracted and expended throughout a dual vibration screening process. The wave-like movement of the flip-flop deck, which is called a trampoline effect, is produced by the resonant frame featuring elastic oscillating elements, which generates a high acceleration up to 50 G. There are different mats qualities, depending on the temperature conditions, acidity, density, or toughness of the materials that run on them. In air velocity-sensitive environments, particularly laboratories equipped with fume cupboards for extraction, achieving optimal air diffusion can be difficult. At KE Fibertec we utilise a unique method of material construction via our weaving mill in Denmark, whereby we can closely control the air volume being distributed through the surface area of our textile ducts. Combined with our in house Textile Based Designer software, we can ensure that low velocities are guaranteed in our solution. Other alternatives such as perforations in the material for low velocity air in laboratories will result in high air movement, as any method which does not diffuse supply air through a weave of textile material will disrupt the low velocity movement of air in the space. This interference compromises the effectiveness of fume cupboard air extraction, posing potential safety hazards and diminishing overall operational efficiency.
