If you are serious about playing to win, then you must be in Indiana. We've achieved $77 billion in the last 10 quarters in committed capital investment. We're serious about building the economy of the future for all Hoosiers to bring more prosperity to our state. And...we just hosted the largest Olympic USA Swimming trials on the planet...in our Lucas Oil Stadium.

Imagine having a conversation with your peers and you asked them about Michele Jordan, Lebron James, Larry Bird, Mia Hamm, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, etc and they responded with "who"? You would be flabbergasted, wouldn't you? This is how I feel when I talk about the great Major Taylor. A man that doesn't get the recognition he deserves. His story inspired me in more ways than I can explain. I was competing in the road world championships, 100 years after Major won his first world title in 1899. Check out this doc to learn more.

Sisters. Champions. Hall of Famers. Karen and Donna Smyers have made triathlon history again and again, and we are excited to welcome them to TBL!
Karen Smyers, a professional triathlete for 26 years, has won the Ironman World Championship four times, as well as several other championship titles, including ITU, National Pro Champ, and Pan American Championships. Donna Smyers, currently the Super Sprint World Champion, set the IM Lake Placid Bike Course Record in 2000, was the USAT Triathlon Olympic Age Group National Champion 5 x and USA Triathlon Sprint Age Group National Champion in 2023, and won the IM World Champion Age Group 1st place in Kona, among other achievements.
It's clear that they were born to be champions! They began their triathlon journeys in the 1980s and witnessed many changes in the sport, from gear to nutrition. However, one thing remains the same: we still have the opportunity to tri.
The Smyer sisters are the only siblings inducted into the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame. Karen won championships as a professional, and Donna as an Age Grouper. This episode is a must-listen, and we are honored to have them join us!
Don’t forget to leave a review, share it with your friends, and follow Tri Beginner's luck on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. If you have any questions or feedback, send them to tblpodbiz@tribeginnersluck.com.

Many of us have been watching the Olympics and are in awe of the determination. Some Decisions are Life-Changing.
Steeplechase runners know about facing obstacles and overcoming hurdles. They
expect them —literally —in their path.
Watching Kenneth Rooks win a silver medal in the men’s 3,000m steeplechase at
the Paris Olympics was exciting to say the least. If anyone can teach a lesson
about overcoming obstacles, it’s Kenneth.
In July 2023, he fell in the steeplechase race while competing at the USATF
outdoor championships. He rolled twice, got back and went on to win the race!
https://lnkd.in/ehHSFR-6
After winning the silver medal, he referred back to that race, “I think the lesson
that I learned is that it’s really important to just choose to keep going,” ... I made
that decision to get up and keep going.”
That’s what distinguishes a winner — the choice to get back up and keep going.
For anyone on a weight loss journey, that choice to keep going- despite setbacks
is an important response.
Just like a runner prepares for steeplechase by training for hurdles, you too can
anticipate and prepare for a sometimes challenging course on your weight loss
journey by keeping these things in mind:
Believe in yourself.
Find your rhythm.
Falls are inevitable.
If you fall down, you can get back up.
Learn from those around you.
Keep your eye on the finish.
Have others cheer you on!
There may not be an Olympic medal at the end or your weight loss journey, but it
can certainly be rewarding and life changing.
Weight loss surgery can help you stay the course, minimize trip up triggers and
help you anticipate and navigate obstacles with confidence. Weight loss surgery
helps you get in your rhythm and will help you cross the finish line.
We want to be part of the team that cheers you on! Decide to keep going!

Age is just a number. Older professionals are self-motivated and disciplined in perfecting their craft. They are excellent candidates for the workplace. They bring wisdom and experience and can be mentors to younger employees. They can extrapolate and fill in gaps in knowledge because they have years of experience to draw upon. And they don't need hand holding; they are resourceful. They are motivated to contribute and be relevant in today's world.
Other nations value and respect their seniors but in the U.S. we discard our seniors. This thinking has to change as we have a tsunami of baby boomers who are mentally and physically fit and eager to keep on working. Let's employ them and pair them with younger workers who can learn from them.
