Creating patterns is my favorite thing to do—it gives me immense pleasure and a deep sense of satisfaction. There's nothing more fulfilling than seeing my designs come to life on fabric. It feels like a real achievement! Whether it's a simple pattern that takes less time or a high-end, detailed design that requires more effort, each creation holds its own charm. Drawing these designs not only transforms fabric or surfaces but also gives them a premium, unique touch. Here’s one of my tropical patterns! 🌴🌺 I drew inspiration from tropical leaves and flowers, arranging them into a beautiful border design. It’s vibrant, fresh, and perfect for bringing tropical vibes to life. Have a look and let me know your thoughts! 💬 #Designing #PatternDesign #TropicalVibes #CreativeJourney #FabricDesign

At first glance, this design appears stunning. The blend of textures and the rich, organic color palette creates a soothing atmosphere for the nervous system. However, a closer inspection reveals an oversight: the tall custom millwork doors extend all the way to the floor, lacking any gap, baseboard, or toe kick. While they may look impressive now, real-life wear and tear from mopping and vacuuming will inevitably erode the finish at the bottom of the millwork. This design flaw will soon become an eyesore and may incur costly repairs down the line. Exceptional design goes beyond aesthetics; it encompasses longevity as well. Legacy design demands a multifaceted approach, where no detail is overlooked. It requires an ability to assess both the visual cohesion and functionality of a space while considering long-term risks and exposure. I believe that no matter how environmentally friendly the materials used in a project may be, if a design lacks timeless elegance and the foresight to anticipate the aging of each detail, it risks becoming a future faux pas. #interiordesign #detailsmatter #legacy

Timeless Design: When Style Stands the Test of Time ✨ It's common for us creators to look back on our past projects with a very critical eye, but honestly? I still love and am proud of most of the work I've done over the years. Sure, with the knowledge and perspective I have now, I might approach them a bit differently- but I still consider them solid projects that stand the test of time! Sharing one of my favorite projects from 2019- a modern, moody restroom with a rich burgundy palette. It's been a few years, but this design still feels fresh and relevant. That's the magic of timeless design: it doesn't just follow trends; it anticipates them. Burgundy is back in style this year, proving that well-thought-out colors and materials never really go out of fashion. This space could easily be designed today and look just as stunning. Timeless design isn’t about playing it safe; it's about creating something lasting that feels both current and classic. How about you? Do you look back on your early projects with pride or a bit of embarrassment? #TimelessDesign #InteriorDesign #Burgundy #DesignTrends #InteriorVisualization #ModernSpaces

Behind the barn doors... Barns have always been hard-working buildings, storing all sorts of things, historically of the edible and perishable kind. Meda’s barn home is no exception, except that it’s not corn or apples that fill the aisles, but things that are a bit more permanent. Most anytime if you’d drop by you’ll find tables strewn with samples of tile, fabric, paint chips. Boxes of lovely samples (and we love getting sample packs and presentations in the post or delivered in person...). It’s the stock-in-trade of an actual #design business, barn-doors deep in the material. Desks pilled with the everything from the natural and traditional to the innovative and sustainable. A constantly evolving collage of colour and finishes. Barns have always been busy, none more than ours. When our clients need to get in touch with the real world, off the screens and into physical space, having all the options to hand is the first-hand way to better design ideas. And because we live in a material world, we’re material guys and girls ;) #MedaShapes #retaildesign #materiality

Evoking Emotion Through Colour In the world of design, we don’t merely “see” color, we feel it. The warmth of a dusky pink wall can embrace us with a sense of calm, while a deep amber throw can wrap us in the warmth of a long-forgotten summer. These are not just aesthetic choices; they are the memories and stories of our lives told in textures and tones. It’s about creating moments of connection, where each element in your home resonates with a life lived and enjoyed. Designing a home with soul is more than a mission; it’s a journey of introspection and creativity. As you begin remember the colors you choose are more than just pigments; they are part of your story waiting to be told. It’s about weaving a rich tapestry of emotions, experiences, and dreams into creating a space that represents your individuality while creating a home that nurtures and inspires. As you ponder the hues you love, think about what grounds you, what inspires you and what a soulful home should feel like to you. Welcome to a life lived in color.

Connected to nature 🌿✨ When Wooden that be... asked me to create their brand, I was thrilled to bring their vision to life. Their mission is to transform reclaimed wood into beautiful, functional products like crates, display ladders, bird houses, wedding decor, and more—all crafted with love and sustainability in mind. I designed a brand that embodies their core values: warmth, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to nature. Using earthy tones, wood grain patterns, and rustic fonts, I crafted a visual identity that tells the story of each unique piece. Every product at Wooden that be... has a story, and the brand design reflects that narrative, resonating with eco-conscious customers who value sustainability and the beauty of reclaimed wood. Are you ready to bring your brand's vision to life? Let me help you create a brand identity that truly reflects your passion and values. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refresh your existing brand, I'll work with you to tell your story in a way that resonates with your audience. I remember someone once told me. Not to change the method of a procedure if it is working. Which is true. However, if these bright men and women did that then we wouldn't have half of what we have right now. He said: Don't reinvent the wheel, if it works, keep doing it ,don't change it. I said: I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel, but I am trying to make it go faster. #design #furniture #designer #productdesign #industrialdesign
