A: The project aims to increase the availability of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and progenitor cells (HPCs) through ex vivo culture methods, allowing a single donor to potentially support multiple recipients. Small molecules will be screened to promote HSC self-renewal while preserving their stemness. Additionally, a BioBank of in vitro expanded HSCs will be created for immediate, cryogenically stored access, significantly reducing wait times and improving transplant outcomes for patients. ❓Have questions?
