September is National Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness about the connection between addiction and mental health. Dear Friends, Colleagues, More than 108,000 Americans lost their lives to overdoses in 2021. This is the highest number of Americans lost to overdoses ever recorded. In fact, it is safe to say we all know someone who has been impacted by mental health and/or substance use disorder, but we fail to talk openly about it. Silence perpetuates the stigma surrounding these disorders.
