The need for events like TEDxTeessideWomen has never been more pressing. When people tell us we don’t need a TEDxWomen event, we can’t help but disagree. We need these spaces for conversations now more than ever. Michaela Reaney sat down with The CEO Adventurer John Beamson one of our incredible male allies, to ask what he would say to other men thinking about attending TEDxTeessideWomen. John’s message is clear: "Do you know you're not welcome? Or is that just your perception? Get in rooms with people who don’t look or sound like you" That’s where the real learning happens. Keep being curious. We need everyone to lean in and be part of the ideas sharing. It’s not enough to observe from the side lines; we need your voices and support to create real change. We can’t tackle big world problems in isolation or in small groups. We need to come together as a community, using platforms like TED to reach more people and share ideas that can inspire action.
