⭐ NEWS ALERT ⭐ 💊 New resources available for anyone involved in structured medication reviews (SMR). 👨🏼⚕️ In a structured medication review, clinicians and patients should work as equal partners to understand the balance between the benefits and risks of and alternatives to taking medicines. The shared decision-making conversation should be led by the patient’s individual needs, preferences and circumstances. 🏥 One video has been created for clinicians to provide an example of a good SMR and support the education of staff who are inexperienced or new to conducting medication reviews with a focus on the shared decision-making process. 🤒 The other video is for patients who take multiple medications and may require an SMR to show them what to expect and encourage them to articulate their needs, preferences and circumstances as part of the shared decision-making process. 👀 Take a look now: https://lnkd.in/e3RTuHpx Umar Iqbal, Carol Roberts, Marny Wallace, Lois Hooper-Ainsworth, Rich McBain, Jordan Leith, Anna Young, Verity Morton, Nancy McNeilance, West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, an integrated care system, NHS South Yorkshire ICB, NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), Janet Scott, Rebecca Sharp, Seema Gadhia, Emily Whales, Helen Seymour, Mandeep Butt

🌍 Celebrating World Pharmacist Day 2024! 💊 Today, on World Pharmacist Day, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible impact pharmacists have on global health. As a passionate 3rd-year Pharm.D student, the Founder and President of MediVersa Alliance (MVA), I’ve seen firsthand how pharmacists play a crucial role in healthcare, from ensuring the safe use of medications to educating patients about their health. This year's theme, "Pharmacists Strengthening Health Systems," resonates with my vision for MVA, where we strive to support healthcare students and organize educational campaigns. Our mission is to empower future pharmacists, starting at the grassroots level, by creating dedicated communities like the MVA Pharmacy Union. Through webinars, awareness seminars, and collaborations with organizations, we're working to raise awareness and drive positive change in the healthcare landscape. Let’s continue to innovate, educate, and contribute to making healthcare more accessible and safer for everyone. A big thank you to all pharmacists who are making a difference today and every day! #WorldPharmacistDay #Pharmacy #HealthcareLeadership #MediVersaAlliance #PharmacyUnion #StudentPharmacist
On this World Pharmacists Day, we celebrate the indispensable role pharmacists play in delivering exceptional care—safeguarding patients from medication errors and saving lives by ensuring the safe use of medicines.
