#ivpa is for veterinarians who resist the influence of MBAs in managing their practices. It's for those who are tired of being told they aren't performing enough fecal floats and nail trims. This is a call to those who feel they are losing their autonomy, passion, focus, and purpose. Why should someone with no knowledge of veterinary medicine dictate your actions? It's time to take control of your own practice. Stop allowing these opportunists and posers to acquire veterinary clinics. Stand up for your rights, control your means of production and become an independent veterinarian!

🐾 Just learned more about the hot topic of a proposed new role in vet care: the “veterinary professional associate (VPA).” It’s intended to add much-needed support between vets and vet techs, helping to bridge gaps in care and bring more hands-on help for our pets (and pet parents). In Steve Dale's radio show, Dr. Gail Golab from the American Veterinary Medical Association shares some pros and cons, plus how telehealth could play a part in the future of pet care. Definitely worth a listen - and keep an ear out for more conversations on this issue. #veterinarymedicine #pettrends #telehealth #AVMA #veterinaryprofessionalassociate #causedigitalmarketing https://lnkd.in/eR-7acSe

Embracing #Diversity in Veterinary Medicine In recent years, the field of veterinary medicine has made significant strides towards embracing diversity and #inclusion. This progress is crucial, not only for fostering a more equitable profession but also for enhancing the quality of care provided to animals and their owners. Why Diversity Matters Diversity in veterinary medicine brings a wealth of #perspectives and experiences that can lead to more #innovative solutions and improved patient outcomes. When veterinary teams reflect the diverse communities they serve, they are better equipped to understand and meet the unique needs of their clients. This #inclusivity helps build trust and strengthens the bond between #veterinarians and pet #owners. Current Challenges Despite the progress, there are still challenges to overcome. The veterinary profession has historically been less diverse compared to other medical fields. Barriers such as financial constraints, lack of #mentorship, and limited access to educational resources can deter underrepresented groups from pursuing careers in veterinary medicine. Steps Towards Inclusion Education and Outreach: Initiatives aimed at increasing awareness about veterinary careers among diverse populations are essential. Programs that provide #scholarships, #mentorship, and #support can help break down barriers and encourage more students from underrepresented backgrounds to enter the field. Cultural Competency Training: Veterinary schools and practices are increasingly incorporating cultural competency training into their curricula. This training helps veterinary professionals understand and respect the diverse backgrounds of their clients and colleagues, fostering a more inclusive environment. Support Networks: Establishing support #networks and professional organizations for underrepresented groups in veterinary medicine can provide a sense of community and advocacy. These networks can offer resources, mentorship, and opportunities for professional development. Policy and Advocacy: #Advocating for policies that promote diversity and inclusion within the veterinary profession is crucial. This includes supporting legislation that addresses educational disparities and promotes equal opportunities for all aspiring veterinarians. Looking Ahead The journey towards a more diverse and inclusive veterinary profession is ongoing. By continuing to prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion, the veterinary community can ensure that it remains a dynamic and innovative field, capable of meeting the needs of all animals and their owners. Let’s celebrate the progress made and commit to furthering these efforts, ensuring that veterinary medicine is a welcoming and inclusive profession for everyone. #veterinarymedicine #vetmed #diversity
