This is really hard for me to articulate, but I need an outlet. I typically steer clear of political discussions. I never want to offend anyone because I'm not built that way, but I can't help but feel bewildered by recent events. How can someone be found guilty of 34 felony charges and then immediately raise $32 million in a SINGLE DAY? Meanwhile, nonprofits like mine, which make a real difference in our communities, struggle to raise funds. Funds that could create life-changing opportunities for young people providing them with the skills and connections they need to face challenges and secure meaningful jobs. Yet, we struggled trying to raise $3 million to purchase a building dedicated to workforce development for youth in foster care. We actually had to get a loan. Make it make sense! It's time to focus and invest in our young people; the future leaders! #ittakesavillage #fosteryouthawareness #theymatter #theirstoriestheirway #impactfocus #impactdriven #impactjunkie #SupportNonprofits
Hear from our incredible youth about the impact Kids In The Spotlight has had on their lives! Do you want to be a part of KITS too? Help our foster youth shine by donating today. Give directly on this post, at the link in bio, or by texting KITSINC to 53555 to support our work. #OfCourseTrend #filmmaker #fostercareawarenessmonth #productionstudio #nonprofitsofinstagram #mentalhealthawarenessmonth

Have you ever wondered if you should become a monthly donor? Giving monthly is a great way to show your support for non-profits that you love! Here are five reasons why you should consider making a monthly donation to Evergreen: 1. You boost your impact – When you choose to give monthly, your recurring donations compound overtime creating an even more significant impact in the long run. This steady support allows us to plan ahead, budget effectively and allocate resources where they are needed most. 2. You’re lowering admin costs – Monthly donations require less admin overhead compared to gift processing individual donations. Monthly giving can contribute to streamlined processes for managing recurring donations, resulting in cost savings in terms of staff time and resources. 3. Set it and forget it – These donations are automatic, which means that once you sign up you don’t have to worry about remembering to support your favourite non-profit. At Evergreen, we offer access to our donor portal, which allows you to manage your monthly donation, edit your profile, dedicate donations, change your payment method and download your tax receipts. 4. It can be easier on the budget – Rather than making a larger one-time gift, breaking the donation into smaller increments allows you to provide meaningful support without straining your finances. 5. You join a community – We will keep you in the loop so that you know about the good you are doing at Evergreen! You’ll receive insider information such as new events happening at the Brick Works and impact stories. Wondering what your donations go towards at Evergreen? Here are some examples: 🌱$25/month helps us continue to offer free opportunities to local vendors at the Farmers Market. 🌱$50/month supports free nature programming. 🌱$100/month connects five kids to nature through our Visiting Schools Program. Consider becoming a monthly donor today to help make our cities less grey. https://lnkd.in/euXECmDE

The kids are doing their annual color run fundraiser... Thanks to my LinkedIn friends who donated last year! They had so many states and countries represented, and I'm hopeful you'll help again this year! It's Vinny, Nico, Stella and Luna... they all attend Cox Elementary and the $ raised goes toward some meaningful school improvements, we're halfway to the goal. If you have the capacity to donate, even a very small amount, it would be so appreciated and once again illustrate the power of network. The kiddos don't have a ton of family beyond our home... so they have lots of "uncles" and "aunts"... by way of who I know, who will spoil them like their own. So if you need "kids" to love on... these are them! Not everyone can donate... I know and trust me, I get it... But, consider a share? Give this a like so more people see it? And comment your support so that the very MOST people do. Maybe they'll be able to join in the giving. The pics on the fundraiser page are with all of their teachers, right before the holiday break... and the pic below is them this week, celebrating "crazy sock day" for THIS #fundraiser. Our school has over 90 countries represented (In Austin, TX) and I'm proud of the work the school does to support inclusivity and belonging for our very diverse international population of students and community. #fundraiser #notthehrlady #kids #workingparent #network

The recent success of the "Little Treasures Fundraising Sale" at my kids' school was truly inspiring! Working alongside a team of dedicated parents, I had the privilege to organize a sale featuring gently used items such as kids' toys, books, shoes, and winter gear donated by school families. This event not only achieved our fundraising goals but also created meaningful connections and emphasized the value of sustainability within our community. Key Outcomes: **Raised Funds for School Programs: Over $700 was raised, directly supporting art performances and field trips, enriching students' educational experiences. **Fostered a Culture of Sharing and Sustainability: The event encouraged a cycle of generosity and environmental responsibility, promoting community values. **Provided Affordable Options for Families: Families accessed quality, gently used children's items at reasonable prices, saving on seasonal essentials. **Supported Local Non-Profit Organizations: Leftover items were donated to local charities, further extending the event's positive impact to underserved families. This initiative was more than just a fundraiser—it was a celebration of community spirit, sustainability, and collective effort. Personally, I felt honored to apply my project management, event planning, marketing, and sales skills in such a meaningful way. It also became a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate professional pride to my kids, showing them how skills can make a difference. #CommunitySupport #Sustainability #FundraisingSuccess
