"[D]ifferent people talk in their little silos. But when it actually comes to solving certain problems, I think we have to break through those silos. You know, the academics need to talk to the politicians. Politicians need to talk to the industry people, and they need to talk to all of the industry people, and not just the people who are knocking on their door asking for something." SWF's Director, Program Planning Krystal Azelton, with Izzy House, M.S., on the Space Marketing Podcast. Listen to their full discussion here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/gWYPqZ-W

Ever had the experience where the promise you were sold doesn't quite match the reality? Perhaps you've seen the new Beverly Hills Cop movie or were an early adopter of Google Glasses? Regardless, that underwhelmed feeling is common and also appears to be the case in the use of data and insights for corporate affairs - with both buyers and sellers at fault. This is the topic for debate on the latest episode of Apella Advisors Little Questions podcast where Matt, Andrew and I discuss why it is happening and what can be done to help deliver better outcomes.
Our latest Little Questions podcast episode 'Getting meaningful insight from data - the ongoing problem for Corporate Affairs' is now live! This episode launched last week and I'm so excited to share my conversation with Wanda Wallace for her podcast, Out of the Comfort Zone. On the show, Wanda asked me why I chose to dive into Performance Science as the basis for my coaching. One of the elements that fueled my engagement in the topic was getting to participate in multiple high-performance, and often competitive arenas over the course of my career. Whether it was medical school, academic science, the board room, national level athletics, or even starting my own business, I took every opportunity I could to access these arenas. When you go all in and commit to one of these spaces, it pulls you to achieve your best performance - and allows you to see (and learn from) the tools and strategies others use to be successful. Given this, I am continually asking myself the following question and you can too: Where in my life is there an arena that would most impact my growth, learning, and performance - and how can I participate in it? Check out the whole conversation here: https://lnkd.in/gRv9BPQK
