🍋 It was a great pleasure and honor to accompany Netherlands Deputy Ambassador to France Sara Offermans to SIAL Paris together with Martijn Weijtens Zénon Emamdee Jeske Loonstra Merle Eerhard. What a great Dutch and international companies we met! This year, 160 Dutch companies were present, including 40 🇳🇱 under the colours of the Dutch pavilion. These companies demonstrated their expertise and ability to create innovative new products, for example in the meat 🥩 and dairy 🧈 sectors, in the organic sector or alternative food solutions such as hybrid meats. These included Scelta Mushrooms 🥇, winner of a SIAL 2024 Innovation Award, as well as Beyond Meat Zandbergen World's Finest Meat, VanDrie Group, TOP The Onion Group, De Wijndragers #LiefdeVoorEten #LiefdeVoorEten, Goedegebuur Vlees Rotterdam B.V., The Crushi and Rival Foods   At the end of the day, at a reception in the Dutch pavilion, Sara Offermans gave a speech in honor of SIAL and all the Dutch companies present.   💬 “Innovation is one of the most important features of this fair. The Netherlands have traditionally been very innovative 💡 in agriculture and food, so it is very appropriate that there are many of us here. The 🇳🇱 Netherlands and France 🇫🇷 work closely together in the field of agriculture and food innovation. This of course concerns Wageningen University & Research and its counterpart the French INRAE. These two are each other's most important partners in Europe. By this I also mean that they are the most successful in bringing in all kinds of European 🇪🇺 and international projects and funds. But there is also a lot of cooperation in the private and public-private spheres. You can think of big companies developing R&D activities in both countries; I only have to mention Danone, Roquette, DSM and Heineken, and you know enough. And as you know, startups and smaller companies are vital to innovation as well.”   Many thanks to all our partners! With Mobile Racking Systems, Unifrango S/A is able to store its products in a much smaller area than a conventional warehouse. Exciting News! 🌱Conceptional guides Schiphol Airport Amsterdam to become more sustainable in its F&B offering in close collaboration with its F&B business partners. In August 2023, Schiphol Commercial made the step to join the Sustainable Food Route. Through the Sustainable Food Route, we help Foodservice companies become more sustainable by working towards an ambition, strategy, and concrete roadmap. After finishing the overall strategy and roadmap for Schiphol Airport at the end of 2023, Conceptional continued to advise Schiphol over the past few months. This guidance consisted of a high-intensity working group structure together with Schiphol and its business partners. To translate this ambition into concrete actions and initiatives from its hospitality partners, several guidelines documents have been drafted. Each of these documents serves a specific focus area - for example, sustainable procurement, reporting, design and communication. These guidelines were drawn up by Conceptional in close cooperation with Schiphol and its F&B business partners within the Sustainable Food Route Project. To formalise the joint commitment, a covenant was signed this week between Schiphol and its F&B business partners. Over the past months, Fred Van Aken Hidde Verschuren and Claartje Verschoor have worked diligently to steer Schiphol Airport towards this great moment in terms of content and process.
