Suedzucker has launched BeetKraft, a new paper and packaging material made from #sugarbeets. BeetKraft is a fiber derived from #sugar production byproducts, replacing up to 40% of wood fibers in paper, improving stability, and reducing packaging weight. Suedzucker will produce it in industrial quantities starting in late 2024 at a plant in Offstein, Germany. BeetKraft is suitable for kraft paper, folding boxes, and cardboard, and has been tested for food safety in packaging.
