We all fooled by social media without even realizing it. You know what -- - A small group makes a lot of noise. Only 3% of users create 33% of all content, much of it negative and extreme? - Conflict is concentrated. Just 1% of communities cause 74% of online conflicts. - And fake news spreads fast by a few. A tiny 0.1% of users are responsible for 80% of fake news? Here are only few examples. There are much more. The loudest voices online don’t represent most people. Social media algorithms push extreme content to grab attention, distorting what we think is normal. Remember: What you see online isn’t always the real world.
