As the need for space debris mitigation grows, the next generation of small satellite platforms must evolve to meet Zero Debris requirements, ensuring compliance with upcoming standards by 2030. 🚀 This is your chance to support ESA in implementing its Zero Debris approach, help maturing platform designs and identifying the technology gaps needed for fully demisable, reliable, and compliant small satellite platforms (50–500 kg). The goal of this call for ideas is to:  - Identify Technology Providers in certain technology fields which are key for future European Space Transportation. - Identify Space Transportation Service Providers and Industrial Primes interested in technology disruptions in these fields, their needs and preferences. - Identify potential Investors interested in key Technology Providers for ESA future STS. FIRST!, an initiative of the European Space Agency - ESA STS Future Launchers Preparatory Programme (FLPP), aims at identifying and maturing disruptive technologies in various domains, to foster performance, competitiveness and sustainability of the future space transportation ecosystem. 📣 We are excited to announce that SPiN has been awarded a prestigious contract under the Invest element of the European Space Agency - ESA ScaleUp programme! 🎉 🛰 The programme will support the manufacturing, launch, and operation of SPiN's 3U CubeSat for In-Orbit Demonstration (IOD). 📡 This platform will use MA61C CubeSat to integrate a payload into a heritage satellite platform. The 3U CubeSat will be launched in October 2025. 🚀 The demonstration will carry an innovative Space Situational Awareness payload that ARCA Dynamics provides ☄ These significant milestones would not have been possible without the collaborations with German Orbital Systems GmbH and Exolaunch, who will contribute to the project through manufacturing, operations, and launch services. The ScaleUp INVEST Element aims to accelerate the commercialisation of space technologies and drive innovation in Europe. 🚀 NEWS NEWS NEWS 🚀 HPS secures a New Million-Euro Project: Advancing Innovation & Progress in the European Space Sector We are pleased to announce that HPS has achieved another significant milestone. On August 7, 2024, HPS signed a contract worth 1 million euros under the European Space Agency - ESA's new GSTP sub-program "Product Initiative." 🤝 This groundbreaking project, to be realized in collaboration with our esteemed partners Aerospace & Advanced Composites GmbH and the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V. 📅 Next Steps: Over the next 24 months, HPS will be developing highly innovative films, provisionally named "ProFilm," which will be both ATOX-resistant and capable of being non-reflective or invisible. These advanced materials will open up new possibilities for applications such as thermal insulation for satellites and invisible drag sails, which represent an evolution of our #ADEO product line for the controlled deorbiting of decommissioned satellites. Strategic Goals Supported by this Project: 🚀 Achieving technological independence 💼 Enhancing the competitiveness of European spacecraft manufacturers 🌌 Mitigating light pollution in astronomy through non-reflective surfaces 🛰️ Paving the way towards making entire satellites invisible Ernst K. 💡 The European Space Agency - ESA's 'Open Call for Proposals - Kick-Starts' is always open. An ESA Kick-Start is a feasibility study lasting six months. The aim of a Kick-Start is to determine whether a service is technically feasible, commercially viable and wanted by users. During the study, our ESA experts will work with teams to design the technical service architecture, engage with potential customers, improve the business plan and establish next steps in developing the service. Kick-Starts must involve the use of at least one space asset, such as satellite communications, satellite Earth observation, and satellite navigation. Launch your business idea with ESA. 🌠 Amazing News - with our partner, Marble Imaging we've signed a new contract with European Space Agency - ESA! 🌠 Marble Imaging, as the prime contractor of a consortium with Scanway S.A., has signed a contract with the European Space Agency, in the frame of the #InCubed program - managed by the ESA Φ-lab Invest Office, for the development of a very-high-resolution (VHR) optical payload. The payload comprises a sub-meter visible, near-infrared imager and a high-resolution, short-wave infrared imager. The optical payload will fly on the first Marble satellite, planned to be launched in the first quarter of 2026 and the subsequent Marble constellation. The two-year project funded by the ESA InCubed program covers the complete development, integration and commissioning of the payload for the first Marble satellite.
