California has 35,000 people on parole, but their experiences often go unheard. At Project Protocol, we’re working to change that. Through our platform, people navigating reentry can share their experiences and rate their interactions with parole officers, offering a unique, ground-level perspective on the system. This community-driven data highlights barriers to accessing resources, what real support looks like, and the gaps that hinder success—insights that state agencies often overlook.
