RFX | REFE has been hauling steady volume for a large shipper for the past two years. While we have a few contractual obligations, we've made a name for ourselves on their spot board, averaging 90-100 loads per day over the past year. This past Saturday at 8 PM, we received a call asking if we could provide capacity for one of their facilities that needed to start on Sunday. They had loads piled up after another carrier had failed and required a new provider. Putting together a solution over a weekend is something others might have hesitated to do—not RFX. We rallied the troops, flew in our best team members, and had boots on the ground at their facility by 6 AM the next morning, checking drivers in and organizing routes. Our team stayed up all night sourcing trucks and repurposing our equipment to immediately assist our shipper with their dilemma. Cost wasn’t a consideration; service was our only priority. RFX showed up and handled the business entrusted to us (65 full truckloads in the first 12 hours). While our CEO was on-site signing BOLs, we realized that two-thirds of the remaining business wasn’t moving. Without missing a beat, we began sourcing additional solutions as a backup. Our daily volume surged from 65-80 loads per day to over 200 loads per day. We acquired a nearby yard and purchased specialized equipment to support specific parts of their operations, now fully servicing this facility. The conversation has now shifted to another location. Our team will be flying out again to establish the same level of service and create a sustainable system to keep their product flowing. All of this to say: RFX is a proud transportation team.
