Building a business is tough. It's full of ups and downs, and it's easy to feel like you're about to burn out. Ryan Holiday, a big supporter of Stoic thinking, gives us a reminder that could change the game for entrepreneurs. “No thank you, I can’t afford to panic.” - Ryan Holiday For those of us in the hustle, panicking doesn’t help. It takes away the energy we need to solve problems and move forward. Ryan’s approach suggests not wasting time panicking. Instead, we should face our challenges head-on, find solutions, and keep our businesses moving. Remember, it's not just getting through tough times, but growing and getting better because of them.

Let’s talk about building a business from scratch. Bakes N Tings is my third attempt at building a small business. And let me tell you, this time around has been a game changer. Why, you may ask? Well, for starters, I've been taking my time to develop this business. No rushing, no cutting corners, I have done extensive research, development and set clear business goals. This time round I've also been lucky enough to have multiple mentors and a support system of amazing individuals who have been there every step of the way. But the real key to the success of my business has been me. My mindset, my energy, my ability to adapt, and most importantly, my willingness to put myself out there. As someone who has a bad habit of wanting to lead from the back, Bakes N Tings has pushed me to the forefront. People not only buy into the business, but they also buy into the founder behind it. So here's to embracing the journey of building a business and learning to step out of our comfort zones. Trust me, it's worth it. Cheers to all the fellow entrepreneurs out there, let's keep hustling and building something great! #entrepreneurmindset #smallbusinessowner #buildingab

Running a business isn’t just about following your passion—it’s a balancing act filled with challenges that can test even the most resilient entrepreneurs. When I started Mellow Mako, I knew there would be hurdles, but the reality goes beyond expectations. One of the toughest lessons? Not all clients are created equal. You often face low-paying work or clients who don’t value the quality you bring to the table. It’s draining. And without proper contract agreements, you’re vulnerable to scope creep and unpaid invoices—hard lessons learned early on. Then there’s the constant search for new work. Finding steady clients, especially those who appreciate your craft, feels like running on a treadmill that never stops. The hustle never ends. What challenges have you faced in your entrepreneurial journey? #EntrepreneurLife #SmallBusinessChallenges

In ten years, I've distilled key lessons that every entrepreneur should know: → Align habits with goals: Your daily actions should reflect your long-term objectives. → Attract, don’t chase: Opportunities come to those who are prepared and visible. → Smart work beats hustle: Prioritize efficiency and impact over sheer effort. → Market noise is deceptive: Focus on your vision and strategy. → Patience and emotional control: Steady your pace and maintain composure. These principles may seem simple, but their application can transform your entrepreneurial journey. Reflect on these lessons and see how they can guide your path to success. What are your thoughts, comment below please!

I agree with what Eric Worre said here, This is so true for entrepreneurs. The journey to success is rarely a straight line—it's filled with setbacks, challenges, and moments where giving up seems like the easiest option. But real growth happens when you push through those tough times, learn from your mistakes, and keep improving. Quitting won't get you closer to your goals; getting better will. If you're ready to push through and make your dreams a reality, drop a comment to get the link to my book, "You Don't Need Any Money to Start a Business." I’ve been studying the work of Benjamin Hardy, PhD, Justin Welsh, and Richie Norton. Their entrepreneurial stories are inspiring and they are generous with their wisdom. But what if you don’t know what to do as an #entrepreneur? What to sell? Who your audience is? How to start? For me, it took years of listening to these great minds (and others) to build up the courage and acceptance that it would take to start my own business. Then last summer the idea settled in on what to do: MAINFORM CONSULTING, LLC was born. Since then I’ve completed two significant contracts and signed a partnership deal with Element451 — all as a side hustle to my main income. The growth I am seeing is daunting and exciting. The clarity, help, and strength I can bring to #HigherEd is rewarding when they take root at the schools we help. The mentorship I’ve received and given fills my cup in wonderful ways. Even though you don’t yet know what to build your business around, start learning how. The #AbundanceMindset, #GapandGain goals, #TimeTipping principles and the #Simple ways to bootstrap your business are all teachable and learnable. So get started even if you don’t know where you’ll end up.
