We are evaluating the Sea urchin Paracentrotus lividus in Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) system :). This study is part of the #IMTA and low trophic #Aquaculture #project which aims to Identify and Investigate native #species potentially suitable for farming in Morocco and study the potential of the IMTA in #Marine #offshore #systems. The #sea urchin, Paracentrotus lividus , is an edible algivore echinoid, widespread throughout the Mediterranean coasts and Eastern Atlantic from Scotland to Southern #Morocco. It is promising candidate for Aquaculture since, it's high market value and low-trophic #organisms. I'm proud of my three PhD students who are working on this project: Mme Jal Halima, Imane Yousfi and Mr. Mehdi Zaira.
