What a great re-read of this article. Clinker substitution is a first must-do in the decarbonisation of cement. And it also makes so much sense from an opex point of view. Want to know more? Reach out!
Greener cements - what are we waiting for?🤔 Reducing the clinker factor is the best way to dramatically reduce the cement industry’s environmental impact right now. The technology is ready. The materials are available. So, what are we waiting for? With a focus on the grinding process, we explore the pros and cons of supplementary cementitious materials, the progress already being made, and the potential for meaningful change worldwide in this article, initially published in World Cement. https://lnkd.in/ehNidst8 #OKMill #FLSMIDTHCEMENT #CLINKERSUBSTITUTION

INDIA: Presentation on Minimizing Refractory Challenges with Alternative Fuels in Cement Production Last week, HASLE Refractories had the privilege of participating in the Conference on Alternative Fuel & Raw Material Usage (AFR), organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The conference, themed "Preparing for a Net Zero Carbon Future: Alternative fuels and raw materials in cement manufacturing," aligns closely with our commitment to providing durable refractory solutions that support sustainable fuel conversion in cement and other high-temperature industries. As part of the presentation topic, “Significant Aspects of AF Utilization in the Cement Industry,” Subrat Chhotray and Aravind prabu from our Indian team delivered an insightful presentation on how HASLE enables sustainable fuel conversion with long-lasting refractory solutions that help mitigate build-up and coating formation, even under challenging conditions. Drawing on our hands-on experience, the presentation featured real-world examples from numerous installations, demonstrating HASLE’s impact in optimizing alternative fuel usage across cement plants. The session was met with an engaged audience and insightful discussions with industry leaders. We appreciate the warm reception and look forward to further collaboration on our shared journey toward a Net Zero Carbon Future. #SustainableSolutions #RefractoryTechnology #NetZeroCarbonFuture #CollaborationMatters #AlternativeFuels #GreenCement

Read the July - August 2024 issue of Global Cement Magazine The July - August 2024 issue of Global Cement Magazine is available to download now. The July - August 2024 issue of Global Cement Magazine is hot on the topic of CO2 capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) with articles on the future EU Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) and CCUS project funding, as well as a full review of the highly-successful Global CemCCUS Conference, which took place in Oslo, Norway. Elsewhere in this issue, there’s an intriguing look at how the ‘Furno Brick’ could disrupt current business practices by putting small scale, low-cost clinker production in the hands of contractors, a look at bucket elevator design, and a thorough report on the current status of the Iranian cement sector. #cement Read the full issue here: https://lnkd.in/e8UwEF2y
