Lovelight Solutions is thrilled to team up with Let There Be Light International to provide life changing solar lanterns to 1,000 families. It's amazing how much impact a $15 lantern can provide to a family living without access to electricity. Currently, families in off-grid communities in Uganda spend on average 30% of their income on light! Mostly in the form of kerosene which is unhealthy to breathe. We've been working with this fantastic org over the past 4 years as part of our commitment to donate 1% of our revenues to bring light to those that do not have access to electricity. The org is run by an amazing founder/executive director who takes no salary - maximizing the impact of donations. Your donation will fund a solar lantern for mothers that come to deliver a baby in a community health clinic (Lovelight Solutions is proud to have brought solar power to 6 of them). Most families deliver w/in the home which leads to high infant mortality. Getting mothers to clinics where there is a lit environment saves lives. This program is also amazing for women's empowerment. Typically, everything of value is owned by the male.. now a mom comes home with a solar lantern that is extremely valuable and revolutionary for the family. Manada San has been a beacon of hope for stray and abandoned dogs, offering them not only shelter but also love and rehabilitation. With over 250 dogs housed at the facility, the need for resources is paramount, and donations like Hyperion's play a crucial role in maintaining operations.
