Last week started with a couple of 1-1 meetings with some of my direct reports. Its that time of year again when we plan for our PDC meetings and reflect back on the achievements of the past 12 months. I think this year’s conversations will, on the whole, be very positive. We have achieved a huge amount as a Digital services team in the last year, building and embedding a new team and delivering some real progress in terms of digital transformation in the Trust. Next year however will ask some very different questions; how do we adapt again, how do we further improve clinical engagement, and perhaps most important of all how do we make further improvements in our own personal performances?? They will be some good PDCs. I am looking forward to them. Had a really interesting meeting with a supplier this week. It was a balance of digital and clinical, perhaps more clinical really. The offer on the table was a clinical service, with a digital wrap. Need to further explore if this is going to be an affordable panacea…. We shall see. On Thursday I was involved in some Inclusive Recruitment Training. It was a really positive and thought provoking conversation. We talked throught some of our recruitment challenges and biases in the way in which processes had evolved over time. A number of us concluded the way forward was assessment centres, as opposed to interviews per se and six month probation periods. They do it elsewhere so why don’t we? Anyway… that will be a debate for another day. Hope you all have a good week.

💬 Join the Conversation: #RelationshipsFirst 💬 You may have noticed that The Medical Affairs Company (TMAC) frequently includes the hashtag #RelationshipsFirst in their posts. But what exactly does it mean? 💭 Well, I believe it can have different interpretations for each individual. To me, #RelationshipsFirst signifies taking the time to truly understand a candidate from the very first conversation. 🕑 I delve into their past experiences, present situation, and future aspirations. It's about identifying what matters most to them in achieving their goals. 🏆 I approach every interaction as a genuine conversation, actively listening and fully present, without distractions like emails or other tasks crowding my desk – because every conversation is important. 📧 Not every conversation will result in an immediate match between the candidate and a role in my pipeline. Nevertheless, it means that I keep that person in mind when opportunities that do align with their goals cross my desk. I actively listen so I don’t waste someone’s valuable time telling them about opportunities that don’t align. Because I understand this conversation is about them, and their career, not anyone else’s agenda. 📱 I'm really proud to be part of a small group of highly specialized recruiters that believe in the value every individual has, deeply experienced or not. You're trusting me with your career, and I don't take that lightly. Building lasting relationships is at the core of every discussion our TMAC recruiting team has. Some of my proudest moments being part of this team are when candidates we know so well become hiring managers or decision makers and trust their medical affairs needs to my company and team. 🤝 So, what does #RelationshipsFirst mean to you? Let's engage in a meaningful conversation and share our perspectives on building strong connections in the pharma industry. 📣 #TMAC, #recruiter, #jointheconversation
