We all need a bit of sunshine 🌻 For me, that sunshine often comes in the form of sunflowers. They are possibly my favourite flower. So much so that they were my wedding flowers. I have sunflower artwork in my living room. I have multiple items of clothing (including dungarees!) featuring this flower. And whenever sunflowers are in season, you'll find them brightening up my home. To me, sunflowers symbolise hope, endurance, and resilience - qualities we all need. Especially when life feels overwhelming. So, when things get tough, I try to remember to do what sunflowers do: follow the sunshine. It helps me focus on the joy and beauty around me. #MentalHealth #Positivity #Sunflowers #Summer #MarketingLife #GirlsInMarketing

Looking to boost your mood? According to a study by Rutgers University, flowers have a significant positive impact on our happiness and reduce stress levels -- and while we're not shocked by this, at least it's been scientifically proven! Here's what the study found: "Flowers have an immediate impact on happiness. All study participants expressed “true” or “excited” smiles upon receiving flowers, demonstrating extraordinary delight and gratitude. This reaction was universal, occurring in all age groups. Flowers have a long-term positive effect on moods. Specifically, study participants reported feeling less depressed, anxious and agitated after receiving flowers, and demonstrated a higher sense of enjoyment and life satisfaction. Flowers make intimate connections. The presence of flowers led to increased contact with family and friends." As dedicated Realtors, we know the importance of creating a welcoming atmosphere in our listings across the DC region. That's why we love including flowers in the homes we list – they not only make potential buyers feel happy and calm but these blooms also bring joy to sellers during the showing process. 🐞Catching glimpses of #Joy in a grey Autumn day...🐞 Over the years, I noticed that LadyBirds appear in Autumn, and I always spot them on grey days. I wonder #WHY. Perhaps because they are so small, they can only be noticed when we slow down and take a moment to get in tune with nature. My small garden is enough. A balcony is enough. Their colourful coat always brighten my day. 💡 Did you know... They are a symbol of luck, protection and #Joy and #Love Ladybirds appear in Autumn as they seek warm, dry places to hibernate for the winter. As temperatures drop, they often cluster in homes, garden sheds, or sheltered outdoor spots like under tree bark. This behavior is a survival strategy. Ladybirds typically enter a dormant state from October to February, emerging in spring to mate and lay eggs. Their presence can be surprising but is temporary, usually lasting only about a week. They are often seen as harbingers of positive change -additionally, they embody resilience and adaptability, reminding us of personal growth and the ability to overcome challenges. 🐞What do you learn when you slow down and take a moment to blend with nature?
