How can we link international talent with employers for the benefit of all? IOM and Lingoda GmbH welcomed representatives from embassies, migration experts and the private sector to identify gaps and best practices in labour migration. Following presentations from Cisco and Workeer, we discussed how to unite our efforts to improve labour market integration. 

Today in Berlin, I attended the "Partners in Transformation" workshop for the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development or Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) as an expert in #ITOutsourcing. The key question discussed was "How can the shortage of skilled workers in Germany be alleviated while also promoting development in partner countries?" It was inspiring to learn different perspectives from representatives of politics and business. I felt honored to contribute a bit with my practical experience of 20 years in IT outsourcing to new solutions for international collaboration. There was a lot of discussion about funding, partner programs, relocation packages, regulatory requirements, data protection and stuff like that. But ultimately, the most important aspect of outsourcing is trust. The trust that experts somewhere in the world can help medium-sized companies here in Germany solving IT problems. 🟠 Latest research from EWL on labour migration from Asia and Latin America! We can only serve our corporate clients well, once we know as much as we can about the candidates we provide – know their needs, expectations and general perceptions. Citizens of Asia and Latin America are becoming an increasingly important asset for employers in Poland, filling the vacancies left by Ukrainian migrants due to the Russian aggression against Ukraine – this was the base statement of the research #Migration 2.0. Poland in the Global Fight for Talent from Asia and Latin America' by EWL Group and the Centre for East European Studies at University of Warsaw. While in 2019 nearly 55,000 permits were issued to citizens from Asia and Latin America, by 2023 this number had risen to over 275,000! 📈 📊5 key findings on non-EU immigrants in the Polish #labourmarket:  ✅ 56% of economic immigrants from Asia and Latin America in Poland are manual workers, ✅ 46% of non-EU immigrants cite language barrier as biggest challenge related to staying and working in Poland, ✅ The NPS for immigrants from Asia and Latin America working in Poland is 69 points (most of entrepreneurs are feeling envy here), ✅ Workers from Asia and Latin America in Poland earn an average net monthly salary of 3834 PLN, ✅ The employment process for a worker from Asia and Latin America in Poland lasted an average of 5 months and 11 days (way too long in order to address a flexible demand from the employers).
