🚀Industrial Instrumentation Training Completed🚀 I am pleased to announce the completion of the Industrial Instrumentation training course at the Universidade do Setor de Petróleo e Gás - UnIBP. Course Objective: Expand knowledge of instrumentation, control, and basic control concepts for various types of processes on platforms. Key Points: ✅ Introduction to Instrumentation;  ✅ Pressure, Temperature and Level Measurement Elements; ✅ Flow Measurement Using Orifices and Other Methods; ✅ Control Valves; ✅ Basic Regulatory Control; Key Learnings: ✅ Selecting the appropriate measurement methods (pressure, temperature, level and flow); ✅ Evaluating and correcting instrument installation;   ✅ Sizing of orifices and control valves;   ✅ Identifying and applying efficient control strategies; Impact on my role as a Project Engineer:  ✅ Improved the selection and application of instrumentation on projects; ✅ Ensure safety, efficiency and control by identifying the right type of valve and instrumentation for each process on the platform; ✅ Increased efficiency in implementing control strategies, resulting in more optimized and safer processes. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 & 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻🛠️: Before anything is built, Chemical Engineers work on designing processes that ensure safe and efficient operations. This involves creating Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). 𝟮. 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗦𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 ⚙️: We also select and size equipment like reactors, pumps, heat exchangers, and distillation columns. This step ensures that the right equipment is installed for optimal performance. 𝟯. 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 🦺: Safety is crucial in all industries. Chemical Engineers ensure that safety measures are in place, such as Hazardous Area Classification 🔥 and designing fire and gas detection layouts. 𝟰. 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 🌍: We also ensure compliance with environmental regulations by designing processes that minimize waste and emissions. This can include wastewater treatment and air pollution control. 𝟱. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁-𝘂𝗽 🚀: Once everything is built, Chemical Engineers are involved in testing and starting up the facility to ensure it operates as designed.
