How To Navigate Your Path Into The Oil And Gas Industry by Young Professionals (Part 2) You may have a degree in any of the Engineering fields, including petroleum Engineering; if you do not have a strong degree result like a first-class or second-class upper, you may not be able to break into the oil and gas industry. You are aware that most oil and gas companies set their entry requirements very high so that they can get quality candidates. Those who read Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geophysics, Geology could have competitive advantage too. But if you have hands-on skills, especially in; Electrical Mechanical Instrumentation Automation Welding Crain driving Your Path into the oil and gas industry could be easier, that's if you can prove it in the interview. Notwithstanding, you can also break into the industry with a low degree if you have a strong network or mentor in the oil and gas industry, that's if the universe had place you in the right place, you can then build your career from they, like most people have done. Do not forget I mentioned in my (Part1) of Finding your pathway into the oil and gas company by young professionals that you should leverage platforms like LinkedIn, join associations that are related to your field and get industry information from they. So, get to work. Look for that skill acquisition centre around you, learn that skill, share it on you page, let people see what you're doing and you will see the difference. Those in lagos and Porthacourt you have an advantage because they are many places you can learn skill that can create a pathway to the oil and gas industry. 🚀Industrial Instrumentation Training Completed🚀 I am pleased to announce the completion of the Industrial Instrumentation training course at the Universidade do Setor de Petróleo e Gás - UnIBP. Course Objective: Expand knowledge of instrumentation, control, and basic control concepts for various types of processes on platforms. In December 2023, the Delta Gas Mobin Group organized a training course titled "Technical Training on Ultrasonic Flowmeters and Flow-computers." The goal was to share knowledge and provide practical training on company’s products. This course aimed to enhance technical skills through both theoretical and practical sessions, targeting engineering, operations, and metering groups from provincial gas companies affiliated with the National Iranian Gas Company. The training took place at the Delta Gas Mobin Group's factory in the Kaveh Industrial City. Participants had an excellent opportunity to pose questions, receive expert answers, and address any technical or operational challenges they had encountered. It is anticipated that organizing such training courses will significantly contribute to improving performance and increasing efficiency in the country's gas industry.

A strong grasp of engineering principles, mathematics, and physics is essential for solving the complex challenges you'll encounter in this sector. 2. Work as trainee in the water treatment plant (WTP) for Maputo gas fired combined cycled power plant, It has been a unique learning experience about industrial process engineering in the demineralization and desalination of water for electrical energy production processes through the gas combined cycle. The processes start from Pre-Treatment plant (involve Multimedia Filter) and end on Demineralization plant (which involves, Activated Carbon Filter, Reverse Osmosis and Mixed Bed Exchanger). Demineralized water is used in gas turbines to produce steam through exhaust gases, steam is used in the steam turbine, in a co-generation cycle to produce electrical energy; thus using the Rankine cycle and the Brayton cycle.
