Around this time of year, in person gatherings tend to increase. Whether it's for a company retreat or office holiday party, we often focus first on the tangible logistics for preparing for said gathering - venue, food, drinks etc. How much time do we spend on considering the purpose, the "why", the reason for gathering? Anywhere from wanting to express appreciation after a challenging year, to getting aligned on strategy for the year to come, purpose is one of the building blocks we find crucial for gathering well. Your story matters. Before you had a 'brand story', you had a personal purpose story. But you feel like it would be selfish to spend time discovering your own personal story (and maybe not even helpful) when you have a business to take care of and people to lead. But your personal story is the foundation for the purpose you bring to your work today, without it, your focus will fade. While we're all out here trying to figure out what BRAND STORY will hit, captivate, and connect with my ideal audience - we're losing sight of our own identifying transformation stories. Your story is what clarifies YOUR purpose, YOUR passion, YOUR why, YOUR mission. That's why I'm hosting a free workshop on Friday, November 15th To help impact-driven leaders, like you, discover and develop your personal purpose story, with one simple structure. https://lnkd.in/gHDw6xrH Click the link to register, and I'll see you in the room where the magic happens!

I had the privilege of joining #WatertightWednesday roundtable a couple of weeks ago and you can listen to the podcast below. Around the 40 minute mark I discuss the need for marketing to often prove it's worth and what I think on this. #Marketing #StrategicMarketing #MarketingMeasurement
**New podcast available** We had such an interesting and insightful discussion last week at our marketers' roundtable. The topic was 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕 and we chatted about quick wins and long term successes and which was appropriate in what situations. Some key themes emerged: ➡️ Volume metrics might show quick wins, but not necessarily quality. ➡️ Conversion rates from one step to the next in a customer's journey are more indicative of quality. ➡️ The importance of managing metric expectations from the outset. As someone there said: "a really valuable discussion". If your marketing plan has ever been challenged on the 'so what' front, it's well worth an hour of your time. https://lnkd.in/evFTaMW3

On this podcast recording with David Deane-Spread, David gives us lots of insights and ideas around ledership in business. Watch and list here or visit my podcast "Business Ready For Sale".

Research shows that high-performing teams set aside time for information gathering and analysis rather than jumping straight to solutions. Enhance decision-making by asking the right questions. Finding out the "who, what, where, when, and why" helps identify patterns that point to a root cause.
