While Kraft Heinz Foods uses AI and automation solutions across its entire supply chain, the Claussen pickle application which ensures the perfect crunch of a pickle is by far the most fascinating. Claussen pickles are known for their freshness, going from farm to jar in less than 10 days. To achieve consistency Kraft Heinz implemented an AI vision system at its pickle factories. AI vision is used to analyze the pickles before they reach the production line. Their density is and the length and circumference of the cucumbers is measured to make sure that the crunch, that everybody wants, in Claussen pickles is perfect. Beyond pickles, Kraft Heinz is implementing AI and automation solutions across its entire supply chain, from forecasting demand to optimizing transportation.
