I am not preaching; I am a sinner too. Not a suprise that what we put into our bodies has a direct impact on how we feel and think. If I could run on Doritos, Coke, and Twizzlers, trust me, I would! I have learned that those choices give me brain fog, a body I do not want, and I am not the best version of myself. When this happens, it not only affects me, but also my team and my family who rely on me. I am not saying to jump straight from junk to clean eating. Instead, consider small shifts: -Skip the chips with your lunch. -Cut down your pop to just one a day, and then aim for zero. -Reduce the number of beers or glasses of wine in an evening. -Drink more water, our body is about 60% water. I am still going to enjoy a drink now and then (we do own a wine bar, after all), but keeping it in check has been key to staying sharp. These small changes have helped me get better day by day. Why being boring is a good thing when it comes to losing a few lbs. When it comes to getting back in shape… boring and repeatable are essential. You have to be consistent. And when it comes to meals this can be tough. So if you’re on a weight loss journey, or just panning to be on one, I suggest finding 2-3 lunches and dinners that you can have that are healthy and you love to eat them. I call these staple meals. My current staple lunch is chicken breast cut up, two eggs medium boiled and green beans. I can eat this every day pretty much, and be fine with it. This is the key! If you have a meal and you can’t stand it after two days then you have to go back to the drawing board. Get a rotation of these staple meals going. Alternate them and you’ll get great results and it won’t feel like a chore. Give this a go. Should be a game changer like it was for me !
