Hey network! 👋🏼 Last November, I had the privilege of joining the Enactus Changemakers Social Challenge 2024 alongside my team Fausto Pinto, Tlanetzi Chavez and Alejandra Coeto. Using Apple frameworks, we developed Herencia Viva, a platform that empowers rural and peri-urban communities by connecting them to broader audiences. As the lead designer, I created a user-centered experience and contributed to the front-end development, ensuring the app is intuitive and visually appealing. Herencia Viva showcases cultural heritage—from artisanal crafts to eco-tourism and historic sites—linking communities with tourists, businesses, and collaborators. For example, visitors can discover artisans like Josefa Mas Pan, join eco-tours led by locals, or experience festivals rooted in community traditions. Our mission is to help rural communities reclaim their stories, foster sustainable growth, and preserve their rich heritage. Let’s build a brighter future with Herencia Viva! 🚀 #Culture #Mexico #iOSDevelopment #Swift #Hackathon #RuralCommunities

We’re excited to share our recent partnership with Inklusion-Digital GmbH, a dynamic startup transforming the digital landscape. The project scope included a discovery phase 🔍, interface design 🎨, and development 👨💻, culminating in the creation of a product tailored to meet the needs of two user groups: teachers and students. 💥 We designed an intuitive self-assessment system for students, enabling them to track their tasks and mood, while providing teachers with a clear overview of student progress through integrated evaluations. Completed in just 4️⃣ months, the project culminated in a successful production release. Post-launch surveys revealed that 80% of teachers and students found the product highly intuitive and effective, highlighting the success of our comprehensive approach. 👉 You can explore the details of our work on this project here: www.bitnoise.pl/Splint And a huge thank you 💙 to everyone involved in the project - you did an outstanding job!

Solving everyday challenges with innovative ideas is something I’m passionate about 💡, and that’s why I’m proud to share EasyLoco—a proposed mobile app designed to revolutionize transportation within Covenant University . Campus mobility often comes with issues like delays ⏳, congestion, and inefficient systems. EasyLoco tackles these challenges by offering a user-friendly platform for booking rides 🚖, optimizing routes, encouraging ride-sharing, and promoting eco-friendly transport options. The app is built to enhance convenience, improve time management 🕒, and support a greener, smarter campus environment. By aligning with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—such as Quality Education (SDG 4) 📚, Sustainable Cities (SDG 11), and Climate Action (SDG 13) 🌍—EasyLoco goes beyond improving transit; it supports a broader vision for sustainability and innovation 🌟. I’m grateful for the guidance of Prof. Chinonye Love-Moses, Oluwakemi Onayemi (PhD), and the collaboration of my incredible teammates who helped shape this project. Now, I’m reaching out to educators, innovators, and changemakers to join me in scaling this idea 🚀. Together, we can redefine campus mobility and create a smarter, more sustainable future—one ride at a time 🚍🌱. #Innovation #Sustainability #Technology #CampusTransportation #SmartSolutions #RideSharing #EcoFriendly #SDGs #HigherEducation #Teamwork #Changemakers #MobilitySolutions #GreenTech #UniversityInnovation #ClimateAction #DigitalTransformation #FutureOfMobility #SustainableTransport #SmartCampus #CarbonReduction #Productivity #Efficiency #EcoConscious #InnovationForGood #DigitalSolutions #StudentSuccess

Building a Sustainable Future: The Role of Artistic Expression in Our Youth As we strive to create a sustainable future, one essential element often overlooked is the power of artistic expression in our children and youth. Here’s why supporting their creative endeavours is crucial: 1. Fostering Innovation: Art encourages critical thinking and problem-solving, vital skills for tackling the complex challenges of sustainability. When kids are allowed to explore and create, they learn to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions for a better world. 2. Cultivating Environmental Awareness: Through art, children can express their thoughts and feelings about the environment. This helps them develop a deeper connection to nature and a stronger commitment to preserving it. Whether through painting, music, or storytelling, they become advocates for sustainability. 3. Promoting Emotional Well-Being: The creative process provides a healthy outlet for emotions, helping young people manage stress and build resilience. This emotional strength is key to facing the uncertainties of the future with confidence and hope. 4. Building Community: Art fosters collaboration and cultural exchange, breaking down barriers and building a sense of community. When children engage in group projects or performances, they learn the value of teamwork and the importance of diverse perspectives in creating a harmonious and sustainable society. 5. Encouraging Lifelong Learning: Artistic activities instill a love for learning and curiosity about the world. This lifelong learning mindset is essential for adapting to the evolving demands of sustainability and continuous personal and societal growth. As a parent, nurturing artistic expression in our children is not just about supporting their hobbies—it's about empowering them to become compassionate, innovative, and resilient leaders of tomorrow. Let's champion the arts in our homes and communities and inspire our youth to build a brighter, more sustainable future! Taking off is not that hard. 🛫 Landing is not that hard either. 🛬 ↕️ Taking off and landing may not be hard, but what truly counts is how we journey in between. 📅 This year began with an inspiring launch. Thirty young minds came together to explore and create through dynamic team exercises that immersed them in the real world of future skills. From choreographing their dance routines to storytelling through podcasts, flying indoor quadcopters, and crafting virtual realities - every moment was filled with intrigue, positivity and boundless creativity. 💨 I firmly believe in harnessing the innovative spirit of our youth to build a brighter future. After all, as Nicola Sturgeon rightly said, "Scotland has always been a nation of innovators and dreamers. We can harness that spirit to build a better future." ▶️ Interested in joining this incredible journey with your kids? Email info@thedatakirk.org.uk to get started. Let's nurture our #InnovativeMinds, celebrate our #CreativeMinds, and prepare our #DigitalStarters, because #TheFutureStartsNow. 👏

🎨 Let's talk about Service Design Hackathons! 🎨 I'm excited to share one of the standout offerings of my business: Service Design Hackathons! These immersive events are a powerful way to drive creativity, solve complex problems, and foster collaboration within your team. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻? 💡 Innovative Solutions: Generate creative and practical solutions to real-world challenges. 🤝 Team Collaboration: Strengthen teamwork and communication through hands-on activities. ⚡ Rapid Prototyping: Turn ideas into actionable prototypes in just a few hours or days. 🎉Engagement and Fun: Keep participants engaged and motivated with a dynamic and energetic format. My journey in design hackathons began with my work at MAKE Studios Hong Kong, where I started as a design thinking event organizer and later Patti Hunt encouraged me to become a host and facilitator. One of the yearly highlights is organizing hackathons in collaboration with Global Jams – #GSJam #GGovJam #GSusJam#GSJam #GGovJam #GSusJam, the largest global service design community event, I host with lots of love and dedication every time. 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 The theory and philosophy I bring to these hackathons are deeply rooted in the book This Is Service Design Doing. I’ve had the privilege of learning directly from co-author Adam StJohn Lawrence through numerous 1-day masterclasses in Hong Kong and a comprehensive 5-day course called This is Service Design Doing – Essentials Online, taught by Adam Lawrence, Marc Stickdorn, and Markus Edgar Hormeß. Over the years, I've had the privilege of running numerous hackathons for diverse groups, from local communities to global businesses. Each event is tailored to meet specific needs and goals, ensuring maximum impact and value. 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 Do you want to experiment with your team’s approach to innovation and problem-solving? Let’s connect and discuss how a Service Design Hackathon can benefit your organization! #ServiceDesign #Hackathons #Innovation #Collaboration #ProblemSolving #TeamBuilding #HongKong 📸 by AECOM

A great first day at UKREiiF. The sun shone. The social value, circular economy, and sustainable placemaking sessions were thought provoking. And the conversation around inclusive design and user engagement flowed. Highlights of things I heard were: - I’ve been been embarrassed in previous roles about the lack of focus on diversity, inclusion and lived experience, but I’m proud of what we are now achieving - Neurodiversity intersects with all other aspects of diversity - Planning is politics and politics is local people - User engagement is not a box tick exercise, it requires proper engagement and discussion - To engage young people you need to reach them where they are. Think embedding a master plan into Fortnite - 80% of the buildings today will be standing in 2050 - Innovation and ideas happen within the supply chain. Harness it - Position buildings through the people lens - A lot is happening in social value, so let’s measure it. The more data we can collect the better - Engagement consultation needs to be fully inclusive. This needs to be the norm, not considered specialist Bring on a busy (and rainy) day 2!
