We’re proud to be featured in this year’s Industry Report by the German Wind Energy Association (BWE). The report features the products and services of the leading companies in Germany's wind energy sector. The article offers an overview of Copenhagen Energy's history and highlights our achievements in the German market since our entry in 2023. We have made significant progress and are currently repowering our Peckelsheim wind project, while our pipeline of mature projects is increasing and totaling 3 GW storage and 224 MW wind and solar. It showcases well how we cover the entire value chain from the initial idea through land acquisition and development all the way to energy trading. This makes us unique by offering all technologies across these processes. Guide to the future of wind energy: The Hamburg Wind Fair Symposium shows the way! The Hamburg Wind Fair Symposium discussed key issues that will shape the future of wind energy: - Challenges: Installing 150 GW of wind power annually by 2030. - Increasing efficiency: Maximising wind turbine efficiency and reducing wake losses in offshore wind farms. - Sustainability: 30% of wind turbines are over 15 years old. Extending their lifetime and investing in advanced monitoring systems is therefore crucial. - Economic efficiency: Transparent pricing and reduction of generation costs are needed, as well as investment in the grid and its capacity. - Technological progress: 300 meters wind turbines - a milestone or a potential loss of efficiency? The discussions and insights from the symposium reinforce my commitment to innovation and sustainability. I see these challenges as opportunities to actively shape the future of wind energy. #WindFairHamburg #WindEnergyInnovation #SustainableFuture #RenewableEnergy #EfficientEnergy

#renewables Maine and US Agree On 1st Research Lease For Floating Offshore Wind Maine and the US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) have agreed on a floating offshore wind research lease, with a potential capacity to deploy 12 floating wind turbines, generating 144 MW. The 15 square mile lease site is in the Gulf of Maine, 30 miles off Portland, and is intended to allow the state, the offshore wind industry and fish and wildlife experts to evaluate floating wind as an energy source. Prior to the commencement of construction, there will be an environmental analysis, review and approval by BOEM of a research activities plan, and final approval of a power purchase agreement by the Maine Public Utilities Commission. The proposed research array will utilize platform technology designed at the University of Maine, and deployed by Diamond Offshore Wind.

NY cancels 3 offshore wind projects - total capacity of 4GW 3 of the winners from NY Bight had been awarded OREC agreements (Attentive 1 - Total, Corio, Rise; Community - RWE and NG; and Excelsior - Vineyard/CIP https://lnkd.in/eb6P3KHd . This seems due to the projects no longer being able to contract for 18MW turbines.
