Thank you, Dr. Zavaleta, for your recommendation! Since I didn't have chemo, there isn't a dedicated chapter in "A Breast Cancer Journey: Living it One Step at a Time" on chemo. That's why I make sure to include Dr. Zavaleta's book in my resource guide. If you are going through breast cancer and will also be having chemo as a part of your treatment, I recommend adding "Braving Chemo" to your library. It is filled with excellent ways to navigate this part of your treatment. https://lnkd.in/grVTMmr7

Visual: [Cancer Survivor- News 360] Narrator: "I USED TO HAVE BIG BREAST" .... 💘This is medically referred to as GYNAECOMASTIA, characterized by enlarged breast tissue in males, often linked to hormonal imbalances due to puberty, aging, obesity, genetics, and underlying medical conditions. 💘Globally, men have a low risk of developing breast cancer, specifically 0.5-1.0%. Gynaecomastia is a contributing factor. 💘As health advocates, we encourage regular breast cancer screenings and self-checks for all individuals, regardless of gender, and look out for signs of gynaecomastia. Report any concerns to the nearest healthcare facility for a professional consultation. #BreastCancerAwareness #Gynaecomastia #MensHealth #HealthEquity"
