Here is a list of some of the oldest lighthouses in the world that are still in operation: 1. Tower of Hercules - Located in La Coruña, Spain, this lighthouse dates back to the 2nd century CE. It was built by the Romans and is the oldest operating lighthouse in the world. 2. Hook Lighthouse - Situated in County Wexford, Ireland, this lighthouse has been operational since the 12th century. 3. Kopu Lighthouse - Found in Estonia, this lighthouse has been in operation since 1531. 4. Sandy Hook Lighthouse - Built in 1764 in New Jersey, USA, it is the oldest operating lighthouse in the United States. 5. Portland Head Light - Located in Maine, USA, this lighthouse was first lit in 1791 and is still in operation. 6. New London Harbor Light - This Connecticut lighthouse, originally built in 1760 and replaced in 1801, remains operational today. 7. Great Point Lighthouse - Positioned on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, USA, the current structure was built in 1986, replacing the original from 1785. 8. Plymouth Light - Also known as Gurnet Light, this lighthouse in Massachusetts, USA, was originally established in 1768 with the current structure dating to 1843. 9. Beavertail Lighthouse - Found in Jamestown, Rhode Island, USA, this lighthouse was originally built in 1749 with the current structure from 1856. 10.
