Understanding Biblical Leadership Leadership is a journey that demands wisdom, compassion, and unwavering integrity. Biblical principles offer profound insights into what it means to lead with purpose and heart. First, Seek Wisdom: Proverbs 2:6 reminds us, "For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." True leaders seek divine wisdom to guide their decisions. Second, Serve with Humility: Mark 10:45 says, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve." Effective leadership is about selfless service to others, fostering a culture of respect and support. Third, Embrace Courage: Joshua 1:9 encourages, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Leaders face challenges with bravery and faith. Fourth, Lead by Example: 1 Timothy 4:12 advises, "Set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." Integrity and authenticity are at the heart of inspirational leadership. By grounding our leadership in these timeless biblical principles, we can create a positive impact that resonates beyond the workplace. Let’s lead with love, wisdom, and courage. #Leadership #BiblicalPrinciples #ServantLeadership #Wisdom #Courage Pastor John K. Smarth Greater Love Global Bible Fellowship Church (GLGBFC). glpcnow.com

Kingdom Leadership: The Power to Know, Believe, and Serve 📚👀 Leadership in Christian education is a calling that requires more than strategic plans and daily execution; it demands a heart centered on Kingdom work and a vision for the next generation. As I reflect on what it means to lead in this unique space, three words continue to emerge in my journey: know, believe, and serve. KNOW: To lead effectively, we must first seek to know God deeply and abide in His truth. Proverbs 2:6 reminds us, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Knowledge equips us to navigate challenges with wisdom and clarity. It empowers us to steward the gifts, talents, and opportunities God places before us in ways that glorify Him and inspire others. BELIEVE: Our belief in God’s promises provides the foundation for every decision and action. When we believe that we serve a sovereign, faithful God, we can lead boldly and inspire others to do the same. In Christian education, this belief is what enables us to instill hope, courage, and a Christ-centered worldview in young leaders who will influence their homes, workplaces, communities, and world for generations to come. SERVE: True leadership is rooted in humility and service. Jesus Himself modeled this for us, saying, “The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). In Christian education, serving means putting students, families, and relationships first—fostering an environment where God’s love is evident and every individual is encouraged to be extraordinary. As we lead others to know, believe, and serve, we are not only strengthening the institutions entrusted to us but also equipping young hearts and minds to lead with integrity, purpose, and faith. It’s a privilege to partner with others in shaping the next generation of Christ-following leaders who will carry forward the work of the Kingdom. What principles guide your leadership? Let’s continue to learn from one another as we embrace the opportunities God has given us to make an eternal impact. 💡👀 #ChristianLeadership #KingdomWork

It's my first missiology post on my longtime leadership blog, thebackrowleader! I'm starting a series on Jesus' words to the disciples to be his witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth. I believe there were multiple levels of meaning intended, and the apostles understood Jesus both literally and figuratively. Their approach gives us insight to apply it today. https://lnkd.in/guuX8NFU
